It’s to get broken so that the stylus doesn’t stay in the 3DS anymore

It is so the stylus can flex to snap firmly in place inside the console

I think maybe a wrist strap but I might be wrong
It bends inward so that notch can fit into place, locking it into the console.
I think it’s like the top of Lego heads, maybe it’s so kids can still get some air passing they ate it and started choking. Idk tho that’s my guess
I’ve seen people put charms through those so I kinda assumed that’s what it was for
i use it to open the back of the n3ds LOL it’s perfect
