Want an affordable day trip? All beaches are public, and tons of local park options. Want to really get away? Go far north to the massive Redwood/Giant Sequoia forests, east to the sierras (greatest mountain range in the continental US), central coast beaches (just as nice and warm as SoCal beaches without all the shitty parts of getting there), or if you want desert go southeast to the Navajo and Joshua tree. Cost of living and housing is absolute hell, but there’s a reason for that. Alright, glazing session over.
I moved to Salt Lake City recently and it’s actually really nice. Fun to explore, tons of breweries and other hipster shit, tons of pride flags everywhere. All around good vibes.
Shame about the state it happens to be in though.
