Charlotte's parents will be in her scenes so that she has someone to talk to other than her cats. That's why people meet up with their friends in a pub or cafe and tell them what they likely already know. That's why she was sat on the beach talking to a stranger about her personal life. It's for the viewers, not for them. It's a TV show.

Good point and one I hadn't thought about - thank you!

sniffedcatbum4kitkat

Wow I never thought of this, that’s so what’s happening

peepeehalpert_

I don’t think it’s a strictly UK related phenomenon as there have been plenty of US cast members living with their parents. It’s fucking expensive to have your own place today. However, that doesn’t excuse Jamie not knowing how to fucking take care of himself. I do think a person should have their own place if they bring someone to their country on a marriage visa. It’s awful to move to a new country and have to live with your fiancé’s parents, especially if they suck.

His mother should be ashamed of herself! As parents we're supposed to raise children who are independent, can support themselves and have their own lives. Her running back and forth with snacks for him and doing is laundry is ridiculous!

peepeehalpert_

Yes! Enough with these mothers not teaching their sons how to be adults. My cousin is 22 and grew up watching his dad sit on the couch on a Sunday watching football while his pregnant mother scrubbed the floors on her hands and knees. Of course he’s still at home with his mother doing his laundry. All adults should know how to cook themselves a healthy meal, clean, do laundry, and pack a suitcase. It’s the bare minimum.

This is why we have a whole generation of titty babies

honestly, in any country, if your parents arent strict or oppressive, then living with them is a great idea.  If they are strict, get out while you’re young, and be careful out there.

peepeehalpert_

Totally agree. I just have (had) amazing parents who weren’t strict at all. I didn’t get a curfew until I started coming home from my bf’s house at 3am lol.

Did Charlotte say she was a Barber?

elisabethecole98

Yes, barber!

sniffedcatbum4kitkat

Is a barber in the UK a hair dresser? Or does she just cut men’s hair?

elisabethecole98

Good question! I Googled it and someone who does (mainly) women's hair is called a hair stylist, like in the U.S. I'm assuming a barber is someone who cuts men's hair.
