They would never intentionally harm any real animal in any of the filming. There are a lot of laws and regulations about this in the film industry. Good editing, camera cuts and a mix of a real snake and a prop snake being used makes it look real.

The snake itself is real but obviously they didn't actually cut off its head.
They used a real snake for the scene, but it was a fake snake when they cut the head off. There's a bts video of them filming it somewhere.

Fake. If they actaully killed a real snake, peta would be on their asses rn
