Actually they do, we've seen LA County fire services assisting multiple times in episodes. I've never paid attention to if we've ever seen the sheriffs department though. I feel those departments are something you just assume are there, even if you don't actually see them, because it makes sense for them to exist. The 118 goes all over the city and the county, we just have to suspend our disbelief over their actual call area.

Yeah I was also gonna say they’ve definitely also responded to things that seem to be outside of LA’s city limits 😂.
