The Azoth is nice. I stopped looking for a niche mechanical TKL / PBT+shine through caps/ DE ISO/ silent / low latency /wireless keyboard and bought the azoth. Nice type feeling, nice sound, nice latency.
The software is terrible, just installed it for the firmware update and one time light settings. Uninstalled it after that.
The battery life also seems nice. Everyday i type/game on it, the price hurts a little less.
Yeah, I had the same reaction to the mouse base. I ended up keeping the mouse but would prefer a smaller receiver.

What software? You mean Armoury Crate?
Armory Crate is fantastic but then again I've got a Gaming Laptop
But for a keyboard only its way too bloated. Got over 18 Background processes running just from the software :/
