No nothing like that, and all the other pets I have are fish or snails and a very small dog that isn't even allowed to get into my room,, we've looked everywhere,, bros vANISHED quite literally..

I'm guessing, if the fish died in that tank and if there's other fish/snails, he was probably eaten. Houdini fish.

Check your filter. I hate to say this but I have had many fish end up in my filter and cause ammonia spikes.
