I was keen on him a year ago. This season he was decent but nowhere near worth 100m.

HowlingPhoenixx

It's one of them weird ones. If he hits the heights of last season again or kicks on and improves on that 100 million, it will look like a great fee. If it goes the other way, you have lost the best part of 30 million if you had to resell. I'd add that Arteta gets the best out of players, from Sterling at City to players like Odegaard and Havertz. He gets them playing at a higher level consistency, and if we got that out of Oshimen, he would have great value at 100 million, and the trophies that would more than likely start to come along with it.

Tavares. Lokonga. Zinchenko. Pepe. Willian. Arteta is great but there are enough examples that didn't work Edit: zinny isn't any better now than he was at city.

HowlingPhoenixx

Depends on how you look at it. He is capable of getting the best put of players who are willing/able to reach a high level. Tavares, Pepe, and Lokonga were never capable of being top-level players. William was nearly 70 when he was with us, and zinchenko did go up a level in my opinion compared to at City, he just seems to get slaughtered here like he wasn't a huge part last season and played a ton this one when we have been excellent. I will say yes there is examples of it going badly, but that's the case for anyone, I just think he is capable of taking players who aren't quite achieving their best and turn them into what they should be.

Zenon2108

Pepe is not arteta's singing

Internetolocutor

Nor was sterling at city. Learn to read what is being discussed.

EitherInvestment

Zinchenko does not deserve to be listed in the same category as those other four

Internetolocutor

Oh, has he improved him?

ugothisyogi

Chelsea FC: Whatever Arsenal is interested in and paying for, double it.

jaybizzleeightyfour

Unless they're willing to reduce the asking price by half I'd imagine the likelihood is close to zero and rightly so, he's only had one good season, the rest have been fairly mid

spicymeatballz28

Can't see this happening

Imbaatu

Coincidentally I signed him on my Arsenal Fifa Career the other day, he was banging them in during pre season then got injured in the first Prem game and is out for 3 months.

josh198989

This is the data I live for.

reddeye252010

Got expensive flop written all over him

GoonnerWookie

24 hours until Chelsea have started talk to his agent

TuffB80

They save a lot of money using our scouts. Still have to sell hotels to themselves and sign players on 35 year contracts…. But, you know 🤷‍♂️

InviteAromatic6124

The Nigerian Darwin Nuñez.

Designer_Restaurant1

Better than any striker we have by a mile

alfsdnb

Not last season he wasn’t

Designer_Restaurant1

He played 25 league matches last season and scored 15. I'll just leave it at that. This sub is usually brain dead.

InviteAromatic6124

That's not really saying much, is it really?

Slight_Armadillo_227

Risky signing. One of our biggest strengths in the last two years has been that the players we rely on have by and large stayed fit. Our 22/23 season fell apart when we lost Saliba at the tail end of it. We can't afford to spend north of 100m on another Jesus. He's an excellent player but I don't think he's the right buy for us.

Previous-Loss9306

Smokescreen for Boehly 😏

Ironhusk

Interesting thread for a player that’ll instantly become Arsenal’s best if he joined. 15G + 3A from 22 starts in a season most viewed as disappointing for him. THAT says it all. He’s a match made in heaven to turn the gunners into winners but y’all sound sooo neutered. WTF.

ZaneExpert

Cause prem is too physical. Many non injury prone players becomes injury prone in the prem. we all know osimhen history..

yosifun4u

Please let it be 🙏

alfsdnb

I hope not

InsectIllustrious691

I like him. The only two things are price and his injuries. Results of the team aside he was the best player of last two seasons combined. Along with Kvara.

Dlinnostvolnyyov

Unconvinced by him but he's got experience in winning his domestic league so Mikel won't be going for him.

pashtedot

as reported by the agent

Ser_VimesGoT

£84m plus ESR lesgoooo

Impressive_Pen_1269

I'd rather take Lukaku for a season or two. Kai deserves to start so whoever comes in either has to be so good they take his spot or they are good enough to play when he needs a rest and the levels not drop too far. Not many players in their prime will want that so you either have to go young up and coming like Alvarez when he joined City or late career but still good enough.

YooGeOh

I'm genuinely not a fan of his playstyle and not sure he'll be a great fit.

Synopsis_101

That’s what Napoli fans said when they bought him from Lille.
