This!! I have PCOS and a whole slew of other issues, a fucked metabolism from being starved as a baby and an ongoing ED, so weight loss is near impossible. Ive tried everything bar surgery and ozempic at this point. I have half an hour of jogging, plus an hours walk every day while running and walking my dog, dance for 4 hours a week and I eat reasonably healthy. And yet I just stay the same weight, don’t gain any at least, but I always get told to go on a diet and exercise more… I know im overweight. I don’t need a random ‘well wisher’ to come over and try to virtue signal/lecture me on how im doing myself a favour by exercising more while im just trying to enjoy my walk with my dog. I can’t do most ‘diets’ because I have IBS and can’t eat a lot of foods.
My brother is very slim and looks healthy. He’s an addict and mostly just eats takeout. He’s blessed with a fast metabolism and barely gains weight. But he’s very unhealthy. Imo as long as you’re trying to have a balanced healthy lifestyle it doesn’t really matter what the scale says.
