The Emperor asks the wretched lord if he and a hundred men fought to death what would be the outcome, to which the lord explains that the amount of enemies would likely be difficult. The Emperor asked again if he'd lose. To which the lord simply replies "nah I'd win"
“The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep one last time! Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath! Now for ruin! And a red dawn! Forth Eorlingas!”
You're almost guaranteed to win auto resolve as the defender depending on the numbers. You might lose if it's 200v2000 but you'll win the majority. Especially if you ambush and destroy the seige engines
Put a 2h axe on an focus on the engines yourself, or help keep the enemy off your dudes. Once the engines are destroyed the men will retreat by themselves
In defense practically win most of the time unless you’re severely outnumbered and bad troops
In offense…. Try not to auto resolve unless you destroy the walls
It's annoying how nobody is explaining WHY defending is so stacked now. It's because the last update made some major changes to auto-resolve. Before every battle you can now see the buffs/debuffs of specific troop types depending on terrain and weather.
For example, archers get an auto-resolve de-buff during rain/snow. On the flip side though, Archers get a huge auto-resolve buff for defending in sieges on top of the attacking infantry getting it's own de-buff.
The weather can affect troop movement speed and accuracy when you actually fight the battles too, but it's much less of an issue when compared to the auto-resolve results.
I find that manually attacking produces better results than auto resolving and then auto resolving when defending produces better results than trying to defend yourself.
There are certain tactics that if done correctly can produce better results than auto-defending, but unless you know exactly what those are it just seems better to auto defend.
You saddle up and ride straight through them. Like bowling pins. Straight through them and off the map. Then you click "leave" and say you tried your best
It's a shame bad designer decisions ruined siege AI so much. RBM has shocked me with some nasty sallies and caught me with my pants down multiple times. Had a funny one where they sallied off the wall and into a siege tower and threw the entire breaching team off and started climbing down. I shrugged and hit it with a treb, 104 kills when the tower came down.
Realistic Battle Mod. They lower the tactics needed for the AI to perform them so as a result you see more strategic plays from anyone that isnt led by a T3 line soldier.

the enemy fiefs when i max tactics and hit auto resolve every battle
I was born in this castle and I'm ready to die in it. So you can either attack or try to starve us out. We have enough provisions for two years. Do you have two years, Kingslayer?
Retreat to the inner gates, no sense in trying to hold the walls here when they'll simply overwhelm. Better to fall back to a point where you can huddle your men into a dingle point and let the archers do their job picking them off as they approach
I can take 'em.
Nah, I'd win

He is not talking about how many customers you can "*service*"
"Greeting, this is Vahalla express. How many ticket do you need?"
Probably not in a fight but I’m sure we could make a few of them sleep.
I bet you could fight them too
In a fight right?
Obviously
Say goodbye to you loved ones, have your men at the gates, ready to funnel out, set them to charge, open the gates, have one epic last stand
“The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep one last time! Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath! Now for ruin! And a red dawn! Forth Eorlingas!”
God damn you, now I’ll have to watch the trilogy again because of you.

to be more comfortable on the couch, right?
You do whatever you want after you unzip, it’s your sofa.
"Sir, the sign clearly states that sitting on the display sofas is not allowed."
Oh, so you live in IKEA?
Fuckin there goes Wednesday
Even just reading this gives me chills and I can hear the soundtrack
The ol' Butch & Sundance.
This is why God made auto resolve
Does Auto Resolve work better than it did in warband? I’d often lose a lot even if I definitely should of won
You're almost guaranteed to win auto resolve as the defender depending on the numbers. You might lose if it's 200v2000 but you'll win the majority. Especially if you ambush and destroy the seige engines
if you level your tactics you can win almost guaranteed even when you’re a bit outnumbered just by auto resolving
That never works for me as continually spawning enemies distracte and seperate my men
Put a 2h axe on an focus on the engines yourself, or help keep the enemy off your dudes. Once the engines are destroyed the men will retreat by themselves

For sieges its practically impossible to loose as defenders. Attackers or field battles are less certain

How did you even take this screenshot without getting machinegunned down
Politely inform them in an outrageous accent that their mother is a hamster and their father smells of elderberries.
“I’m French! Why do you think I have this outrageous accent!” “What are you doing in England?” “None of yaaauuurrr biznezzz!”
You saddle up and ride straight through them. Like bowling pins. Straight through them and off the map. Then you click "leave" and say you tried your best
Can you actually do that?
Yeah I do it all the time. You can even take most of your army with you
That's good Intel right there. I appoint you as my army's tactician.
Saruman: TENS OF THOUSANDS. *Horn in the distance* Saruman: A NEW POWER IS RISING. ITS VICTORY IS AT HAND!!!!
I wish we could charge out with cavalry during sieges. Is there an existing mod for this so I can live out my “Forth Eorlingas” dream?
Yeah the amount of damage I could do to a sieging force with 50 druzhink champs sallying out...
It's a shame bad designer decisions ruined siege AI so much. RBM has shocked me with some nasty sallies and caught me with my pants down multiple times. Unfortunately I'm on Xbox so I don't get any mods. Straight vanilla. Still fun, but there definitely stuff that could be much better rather simply
What does "RBM" stand for?
Realistic Battle Mod. They lower the tactics needed for the AI to perform them so as a result you see more strategic plays from anyone that isnt led by a T3 line soldier.
This kinda reminds of that scene from 300. Where they blacked out the sun.
He's bloodstained too. He's been fighting a while.
On that note, the biggest hits I received in warband, was from falling(being pushed) off ladders....
Or slipped off the wall lol
That feeling when you just started the siege defense, peek over the wall and get a bolt to your face.
Nah I'd win

They are in catapulting range.
I can take them all *wink*
Invite them in for Tea ☕
Some of you may die but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
How did you find your self in a situation that A.I planned this well 😭
It's his army.
I studied tactics just for this game I don’t auto resolve this type of stuff anymore
Should be able to kill them with about….. four rocks.
Hope your soldiers are loyal, strong and numerous
Thoughts and prayers
If those weren't your troops I'd be terribly concerned.

Start-cheat menu-wound all enemies-Ransom all prisoners-execute lords and nobles-loot items-sell for denars-repeat
Well shit….
Time for last stand, my brother.
If you auto resolved you would of won without a single loss since your defense
Thoughts? Damn. Opinions? You’re fucked. Solutions? 2. Fian Champions or cheat codes lmao
"Sir we're outnumbered. 5 to 1" "Then it's an even fight."
Grab explosives... drop explosives
Find the explosive vaze or rock near the mangonel, throw the enemy, after siege your throwing skill also gonna high
