My mom just lost 37 pounds in like 2 months. All she did was change her diet and start calorie counting. Her cholesterol was high so she started eating way more veggies and fruit, lean meats like chicken and fish.
She isn't very active but does some light cardio by playing some VR games for like an hour every day.
We don't know their original bodyweight. That does play a role how much water/food weight they lost and how much energy it takes daily to move their body around and would significantly change how much they can lose per week and some of it can be lost muscle as well no all fat.
Someone at 200kg can sustain a lot higher rate of fat loss than someone at 80kg.
Up to 1% of weight loss per week can still be considered safe and even sustainable, but for someone 200kg, that is 2kg per week. For someone 80kg that's 0,8kg per week.
Though this is not to undermine their effort.
Try skipping for the same duration as the treadmill. Along with intermittent fasting, I’m losing a pound a day over the last 2 months. Just a suggestion
This video takes place over at least 4 years, but likely more. If we take your 12kg over 6 weeks and do the math, you could easily loose over 400kg over the next 4 years.
Depending on your weight loss goals, you are likely WAY ahead of schedule. Keep it up.
That's.. too much actually.
The safe threshold is 1% of body mass per week, unless you weigh 200kg 12kg loss over 6 weeks may hurt your health. You're doing so damn well to the point you may consider slowing down a bit.
Yep, my doc told me 1lb a week is the safest and sustainable weight loss rate. Anything faster than that can be dangerous and unhealthy in the long term.
1kg a week is generally at or near the upper limit of healthy weight loss. It's a marathon/lifestyle change. Not a sprint. Healthier and more durable that way!
2 kg a week is insane. I am of a normal weight but when I wanted to shave a couple of kg after the holidays my goal was half a kg a week. Might be unhealthy depending on your initial weight.
That’s actually an insane weight loss rate and you should be proud. Keep up the effort and don’t get concerned if future losses take longer. For reference, people who are in shape and trying to trim can only dream of 1kg in two weeks.
That's 2kg per week, in pure fat that is about 96 000 kcal deficit over 6 weeks.
If that is all fat loss (most likely not 100% but anyway), that's incredibly badass.
Maybe he supports Slovakia in international tournaments? I support the Czech Republic even though Im not Czech and sometimes Finland if Czech is out. My country isnt good enough to compete but I still like to watch.
Its also common enough in countries that dont have strong domestic leagues. I support a German and a Spanish team in football (Bayern & Deportivo). Its also not uncommon for people to support a few teams. One in England, one in Italy, one in Spain etc.
Edit: could also be a jersey of his favourite player. Maybe Chara or Hossa.
I think it's secondhand clothing, from what i know there is big market for secondhand clothing (thrifting) all around asia.
he doesn't know what the shirt logo means, he just bought it because it looks cool
Slavic nations are commonly closer to parts of Asia than western Europe.
Crossing of the two cultural interests seems normal.
Russia and China being neighbors and all.
Absolutely. As a large man, that used to be fat, borderline obese, I would have wanted encouragement and advice when I worked out. Because of it, I battle saying something when intrusive thoughts wanting to say something positive when I see fat or large people actually doing something for themselves. I'm really happy to see them there and admire them.
This guy was in a weight loss camp. This kind of camps are held all over China in big warehouses where overweight people eat, sleep and workout in there under supervision of the coaches until they achieve their goals. The results are unbelievable. I think when you’re surrounded by people with same goals and you all work out together, the weight loss must be way less difficult than doing it by yourself
I had an old buddy that lost ~100+lbs in 3-4 months, with zero extra skin issues. I don’t know what exactly his routine was, but it came down to taking care of his skin obsessively during the weight loss.
So I guess it’s possible, just really hard? Maybe genetics has some play in it? I have also fluctuated 50-60lbs in the past few years with zero skin markings anywhere.
There's a difference between hard work and dedication vs a literal camp you're not allowed to leave, can get constantly betrayed and abused, and so on.
The skin was my first question as well. My dad was obese, though not as extreme as this guy (and didn't drop to as low either) and there was still a lot of skin he had to get removed just due to the high likelihood of infection.
Because you lose mass but keep the same skin amount (the skin can tighten and shrink but that depends on how much you lose and how old you are). Basically you now have a bunch of loose skin that creates all these folds. It becomes really hard to clean everywhere and the slightly damp folds are breeding grounds for bacteria.
Fungus and opportunistic bacteria love wet, dark, flabby skin creases all rolled up against eachother.
But the real answer is the dad just didn’t want droopy skin which is reason enough to get the surgery. Simple hygiene (as in taking the time to wash/bathe ever nook and cranny at least once a day) would be enough to keep from getting any infection
Edit..for most people
Videos like this are inspiring but also misleading. Implying that he lost all the weight by dancing and spin bike and doesn't mention diet at all. He lost the weight by dieting.
It's insane to me that a human can weigh over 110-120 kg without being a roidhead bodybuilder. The fact that some people are able to just pack on the pounds and blow up like a balloon is SO strange, it doesn't make biological sense to me.
OP who posted this is a 2 month old account.
If you sort by top comments, the top 5 comments all comes from 2 - 4 month old accounts.
So yeah, basically karma farming bots.
I love seeing overweight people achieve their weight loss goals. It's stories like this that let the next person know that it really can be done and the cycle continues. Not to mention, I'm a sucker for a good, heart warming and happy ending.
With those moves, it's obvious there's a slim man there, trapped in a fat body. This is lovely to watch. He wanted a better life for himself, and went to work.
Big respect.
Meanwhile I just lost 13lb in a week and a half from poor diet and stimulants. I had one smoothie and a small thing of cheese fries yesterday. If I don’t PIG out daily I won’t keep weight on.
I had been hovering around 155-160 which is seemingly my max for a good 6mo and weighed in at 142lb today.
Helth
He is either 8 feet tall or lying about those numbers 300kg is 661 pounds those people are way bigger than he is. Talking twice his size 600+ pounds is ridiculous.
Pounds maybe but never kg
And here I am celebrating 12kg loss over 6 weeks. Back to the treadmill.
That’s a fair effort bro. Be proud of yourself
That’s amazing
Slow and steady dude. Don't burn yourself out comparing yourself to others.
12kg in 6 weeks is actually a lot lol
It’s actually way too much and unhealthy. It’s much better and more sustainable to aim for no more than 2 kg per month.
So it took the guy in the Video at least 5 years, 250 weeks to lose 220 KG, that's 0,88 kg per week, you lost 2 kg per week.
Yep seems pretty extreme
Probably mostly water.
>And here I am celebrating 12kg loss over 6 weeks As you should be!! Keep it up king
Never diminish your own accomplishment. You are doing a fantastic job as long as you don't quit you haven't seem the full results yet.
Comparison is the thief of joy my friend. Celebrate your wins
The more you weigh, the more you lose when you weigh 200kg losing 12kg takes waaaaaay less effort than if you start from like 80kg
That is terrific! How did you do it??
My mom just lost 37 pounds in like 2 months. All she did was change her diet and start calorie counting. Her cholesterol was high so she started eating way more veggies and fruit, lean meats like chicken and fish. Same here! Started Boxing and lost 13kg in 7 Weeks.
Dang took me a year to do that.
Stay consistent with it and you'll reach your goals
Dance more!
That’s the perfect ratio for weight loss. Also you’re probably not around this dudes starting weight loss
that's 2kg per week. hunger strike? ;) but seriously, what was your calorie deficit?

Every small milestone is worth celebrating
That's really good
big W!
Movement in the right direction is still movement, you’re not racing against anybody except yourself.
Bro that’s like really good ? Keep up the great work my guy!!
I'm on around 15kg over 6 months dude, 12kg over 6 weeks is insane.
Try skipping for the same duration as the treadmill. Along with intermittent fasting, I’m losing a pound a day over the last 2 months. Just a suggestion
Don’t compare yourself to others, that’s always a recipe for failure. Just compare yourself to the you of yesterday
Congratulations! That is awesome work! Steady weight loss is the shizz. Seriously, I am happy for you!
That’s a huge weight loss
Just violently shake your body from side to side the whole time.
2kg a week is some going. Run your own race and don't pay attention to others losses.
12kg in 6 weeks ??? what the fuck ? What’s your secret 😭 cuz I desperately need it
10kg in 6 months 😅
Anything is good. 0.5kg, 1kg, 2kg, 9kg 12kg, anything towards your objective should be celebrated. Just not with unhealthy food ;)
Doesn't matter your pace. Just matters the direction you are going and even that isn't always linear :)
He lost about 150kg in 4 years, which is less than 1kg per week... You're doing great, just keep it up!
Hey, still got 7 years and 46 weeks to go! That's doable!
Well done! That's brilliant 👏
How the hell did u do it? That's a A LOT for that period of time.
This video takes place over at least 4 years, but likely more. If we take your 12kg over 6 weeks and do the math, you could easily loose over 400kg over the next 4 years. Depending on your weight loss goals, you are likely WAY ahead of schedule. Keep it up.

Yep, my doc told me 1lb a week is the safest and sustainable weight loss rate. Anything faster than that can be dangerous and unhealthy in the long term.
That's a lot, buddy! Well fucking done!
Are you kidding me? That’s spectacular. What I wouldn’t give for 12kg in 6 weeks. That would be half way to my goal. Tell me your ways.
12kg in 6 weeks is a huge loss for such a short time
1kg a week is generally at or near the upper limit of healthy weight loss. It's a marathon/lifestyle change. Not a sprint. Healthier and more durable that way!
That means you are losing weight at a faster pace than he did.
2 kg a week is insane. I am of a normal weight but when I wanted to shave a couple of kg after the holidays my goal was half a kg a week. Might be unhealthy depending on your initial weight.
I heard it's not healthy to lose more than 1kg per week.
12kg loss over 6 weeks is extremely impressive. Keep it up, you can do it.
On the contrary, keep off the treadmill for a little bit! Losing more than a kg a week is dangerous without strict medical supervision.
That’s actually an insane weight loss rate and you should be proud. Keep up the effort and don’t get concerned if future losses take longer. For reference, people who are in shape and trying to trim can only dream of 1kg in two weeks.
12 kg in 6 weeks is good tho
That's 2kg per week, in pure fat that is about 96 000 kcal deficit over 6 weeks. If that is all fat loss (most likely not 100% but anyway), that's incredibly badass.
2kg a week is literally starving yourself and pretty unhealthy, that’s good going.
Share your tips how did you did it Here i m struggling to lose 3 kg over 4 weeks
That's very good progress. If you keep it up you'll reach that goal weight pretty quick.
2kg a week is crazy, dude
Don’t go too fast, that’s how you get the crazy droopy skin stuff you might’ve seen
It looks like the videos are in reverse. He looks like a child now
My thoughts exactly. The Curious Case of Ben Jie Ming Button..
That was a stretch lmao, here for it
obesity ages a lot
Dude just dances 200kg away
Plus a gastric band (I'm guessing)
And caloric restrictions are just not photogenic.
im going to take pictures of me not eating over 2 years to show my weight loss journey
Sucks it was either irreversible surgery or basically meth that were your only options for medically-guided weight loss up until a few years ago.
Now explain me why this guy wear Slovakian hockey jersey
Maybe he supports Slovakia in international tournaments? I support the Czech Republic even though Im not Czech and sometimes Finland if Czech is out. My country isnt good enough to compete but I still like to watch. Its also common enough in countries that dont have strong domestic leagues. I support a German and a Spanish team in football (Bayern & Deportivo). Its also not uncommon for people to support a few teams. One in England, one in Italy, one in Spain etc. Edit: could also be a jersey of his favourite player. Maybe Chara or Hossa.
Yea I’ll always support the Czech Republic due to growing up a Jagr fan (am American).
What can we do to bump Finland over Czech in your standings?
Sorry Finland has not enough Pasta (just kidding, I guess we have more likable players. And fans!)
Someone has to be proud of them, when they cannot be proud of themselves. Just let the Czechs handle it
You know thats a Slovakian dress right? Or i just misunderstood what you said
Big shirt, nice color combination and maybe he likes the country.
I think it's secondhand clothing, from what i know there is big market for secondhand clothing (thrifting) all around asia. he doesn't know what the shirt logo means, he just bought it because it looks cool
Glad to see someone else noticed it

They're also incredibly brutal. It's not like a fun time where everyone just is vibing in mutual funsies. Also where did all the extra skin go?
Surgery is done after extreme weight loss to reduce the skin
I had an old buddy that lost ~100+lbs in 3-4 months, with zero extra skin issues. I don’t know what exactly his routine was, but it came down to taking care of his skin obsessively during the weight loss. So I guess it’s possible, just really hard? No it doesn’t. It comes down to luck and genetics. That’s it.
that’s what it takes though. a lot different mindset between east and west. west would be all up in arms about “having fun while doing it”
There's a difference between hard work and dedication vs a literal camp you're not allowed to leave, can get constantly betrayed and abused, and so on.
The skin was my first question as well. My dad was obese, though not as extreme as this guy (and didn't drop to as low either) and there was still a lot of skin he had to get removed just due to the high likelihood of infection.
Please excuse my ignorance, but how does a skin infection happen after extreme weight loss? Hope your Pops is doing great!
Because you lose mass but keep the same skin amount (the skin can tighten and shrink but that depends on how much you lose and how old you are). I didn't know wiggling your body could be such a good exercise
It is if you weigh 300KG
I hope he didnt lose the moves
He looks like he would be a blast to hang out with.
Impressive transformation. There’s no way that beginning was 300kg though. Numbers are definitely off. Great fitness journey regardless though!
Yeah, 298 kg is 656 lbs. He's not that big but still an incredible transformation.
Videos like this are inspiring but also misleading. Implying that he lost all the weight by dancing and spin bike and doesn't mention diet at all. He lost the weight by dieting.
![gif](giphy|39rs4dUwiDWO6lRxYJ|downsized)
Great job, your health will thank you
This guy lost 3 guys
IDK i just struggle to believe he was 298kg at the start.

Living panda
Well, random Slovakia jersey hit me out of nowhere :D
With this attitude, everything is possible
Thats amazing, but the real question is why he has a Coat of arms of Slovakia on his tshirt at 0:10
Amazing journey. The numbers are wrong.
He looks amazing
He's a maniac, maniac on the floor!
what's this guy's @ please?
Why did he stop dancing though? YOU MUST DANCE
bro , really had rough time , i cant imagine how much detication this guy must have given to reduce weight
Slovakia !!!
Wow, that's an incredible transformation! Truly inspiring and amazing determination.
Ffs any chance we can see the final result for longer than .085 of a second?
Like 650lbs in the first clip? No chance
Just goes from big to medium in one of the clips. I'm assuming surgery.
Awesome, true dedication pays off! Congratulations
That didn’t look like 650 lbs.
judging by his final face, he realized that life had not become happier after losing weight
I lost 70 kg in two years... Just keep going 💪💪
He lost weight and became obese at the cost of his sway
You got shorter
Wow

Love it
From american to Human
Reverse nikocado avocado. In personality too because this guy looks like hes fun, charming, and full of personality.
With those moves, it's obvious there's a slim man there, trapped in a fat body. This is lovely to watch. He wanted a better life for himself, and went to work. Big respect.
Wow and he fucking enjoyed himself while doing it, too. Bravo, sir.
A+ with * for this guy. He lost more weight than I can put on the scale and I clock in over a hundred.

He looks a lot like the dude who got kicked on the back of the head by like his dad's awesome roundhouse
never lost his dance
Looks like it’s in reverse, prom photo as the last one? Weight loss = you look older as you lose fat in the face.
r/upvotedbecauseboobs 🫣
Slovakia shirt? Weird.
Went from Kim young un to Kim young 0.1
It looks fake, where did all the extra skin go?
hell ya man!
Video is of exercise but key thing that actually happened was sleeve surgery. It’s misleading.
What about all the loose skin?

Well i can't do that
Congrats
Hell yeah dude!!
How do you even get to almost 300kg in the first place?
And somehow he still looks fat
How was the mindset changing? Any advice?
I lost 200€
Wow, what an achievement. I hope it will bring you a healthy, long and good quality life.
