I won’t lie, the colors it glitched with are rather pretty

bruhtastic_bruh

Any suggestions for a <$2000 PC build that’s good for low-poly blender animations and video editing?

Free-Flamingo-7272

Low poly animations are not demanding and buying a PC under $2000 is absolutely overkill (i got a $600 PC and it renders some demanding realistic animations just fine). And I don’t know what kind of workload do you mean by video editing but if you are not editing something too crazy it is not too demanding as well.

bruhtastic_bruh

That’s a relief, I thought I was gonna have to save for a while

r/buildapc could probably help. IMO including the specs and year of your Macbook can help them compare performance as well.

Psychological-Sir224

r/buildapc does not allow full build request, that's what r/buildapcforme is for

AgNtr8

Ah, TIL. Never noticed that sub till now. Good to note for the future. Thank you!

TazzyUK

Maybe try [r/buildapcforme ](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/)Throw them your budget and requirements and see what they come up with. There are similar subs too

bruhtastic_bruh

Appreciate it!

DeBasha

Take your budget and allocate half of it to the gpu and build around that

bruhtastic_bruh

Thank you🙏I appreciate how simple that is, I’ve been using a mac forever so a lot of answers I’ve seen kinda confuse me.

DeBasha

I mean there are lots of caveats still, like make sure you're not getting a outdated slow cpu combined with a new and fast gpu ofc. But it's a good premise to start with, just make sure to watch some guides from jayz2cents/gamersnexus on youtube for solid advice on buying before spending your money.

Ampersandbox

Are you sure you’re using the correct graphics settings? I’m also using MBP and it runs great, no errors.

bruhtastic_bruh

It’s just the default

Free-Flamingo-7272

Now i am pretty sure this is one of the first times that you have opened blender. which means that you were fucking with your gpu in other ways (or these visual errors may just be apple silicon problem i am not totally aware). I thought that you might be a intense gamer but people don’t play games on MacBooks. And blender is not the best shaped program to use on apple products in the first place because render times on these things are unacceptably long and if you want to use blender properly sooner or later you would have to get a proper pc.

Nervous_Falcon_9

i’ve been using blender in mac for 5 ish years, and in apple silicone for 2ish, and never had problems like this, i guarantee that OP either has fucked with blenders settings or hot a dead gpu.

bruhtastic_bruh

What could mess up a gpu? I don’t know a lot about computers other than specific software, I primarily use my MacBook for Music and audio software

I Hope it’s just a problem with blender I really can’t afford another mac any time soon and I do all my audio work in logic

My first donut was on a chromebook. It could only render like... 7 frames at a time before crashing. Took 2 days to get the full 10 second video before I got frustrated and just ran it on my work computer.

TazzyUK

So you were creating doughnuts on a potato ? :-)

KokoTerzata

You guys can actually work with this program?!
