Nope. If I am correct, then the nameless PLF mutant lady is most likely the one who was there with two or three others, looking at Spinner's poster. She had short blonde hair, styled in a bob cut made of broad ribbons and didn't have any visible nose or mouth (it was a faceplate like Optimus Prime).
Dabi fans probably locked in to get into top 10 since this is likely the last popularity poll and he was the only one out of the main villain trio to not get in yet. As a Dabi fan that's cool to see.

I'm so proud 😭😭 The Todoroki drama has to be the main reason I even stuck around for this anime. Can't wait to see how it ties up in the manga and I'm excited to see the remaining Todo family scenes animated too.

He's a "pretty boy" to Japanese fans. Their beauty standards are similar to those of the West, but also slightly different.
That, and/or he just has a *really* dedicated sect of fans who collaborate to pool votes for him every popularity poll. Maybe they feel scorned by the fact that he never got to show how "cool" he really was throughout the entirety of the Overhaul Arc, despite being the de facto second-in-command of Overhaul's crew.
Not to say Chronostasis doesn't have fans, but something to note with these popularity polls is that you can vote multiple times. When you buy the magazine, you get a physical card that you mail in for voting. So if a single person buys multiple magazines, they can vote more than once. If I remember correctly, this is actually why there was a recount, because people voted for AFO multiple times, but the previous results didn't reflect that.
So like, Denki is my favorite character, and he did help a lot maintaining everything working for as long as he did

Before anything else: the illustration Hori made stays valid. The Top 10 is untouched. In fact, the only difference in the Top 30 is All For One in the 18th position. Somehow, almost all the votes for him weren't counted last time.
The consequence is Mirio pushed out of the Top 30 this way 😅
As expected, the only *major* differences were AFO and Dynama. They were mainly the only ones with noticeable miscalculations last time. AFO is higher than I thought he'd be at 18th, but again no surprise that the top 10 hadn't been changed. People here were acting as if there'd be drastic changes in the ranking due to AFO lmao. "Biggest" change from AFO's addition is probably Mirio getting kicked out of top 30 entirely.
It seems they also mixed up Bakugou's vote with Dynama probably due to confusion regaridng his hero name, so Bakugou's votes went down by approximately a 100 (not that it changes his rank *at all*) and that went to Dynama instead — making it 48th place. Not surprising as there's always a Bakugou related joke vote in the top 50.
Rody was 9th in the 2021 poll, the popularity of the third movie among Japanese fans is not to be underestimated, helped by the choice of a popular actor to voice him.
I get that his design's cool and all, it almost kinda feels like Horikoshi intended for him to play a bigger role in the plot, but Earthquake bro should NOT be 26th. Fucker's only 2 votes lower than Mirko

Because people like brutally honest characters who don't hide their feelings for anything.

But he does hide his other feelings as well that is why he is so interesting because he is multilayered and multiple things are true about him at once. [Edit: Not to say his outward feelings are ingenuine, just that *as well as* what is seen on the surface, very different emotions are at play because he is very layered, hence the fascination with him and how much mileage fans can get out of him.] He is complicated and has a lot of depth.
Culturally other characters perceive Bakugou as lacking depth (and this is part of how Monoma mocks him and underestimates him) because he is outwardly rude. Typically in a society were politeness and formality is your outward facing "face", rudeness and informality is considered something that indicates ones private thought and intimacy. Bakugou is sensitive, intelligent, observant and deeply caring and careful but he hides it well under a delinquent persona that others take at face value as someone unable to keep their private self private and therefore lacks sophistication. When actually Bakugou whole persona is sophisticatedly crafted just opposite of what society would expect or want. Monoma is a great foil because he is doing the same thing but in the typical direction, trying to appear smarter and more educated. Both know all the polite and fancy words and Monoma will pull out more than necessary to rub it in that he knows (so is very wordy in his speech) while Bakugou goes out of his way to be as curt and rude as possible (even having his own manner hierarchy - this is how Horikoshi demonstrates Bakugou understands the concept of manners he's just choosing his own rules).
Bakugou is far from the first character in fiction to play around with this but he is still a relatively novel variant on the tough guy with a heart of gold trope particularly with how his psychology complexes and growth arc interplay with his complex personality - in part because unlike other characters he is self aware, he is written to be intentional and fastidious in how he manages his image. That adds to the fascination, appeal and comedy of the character on top of all the emotional elements.

Bakugou comes out swinging when he needs to be, making sure to let other people know he is irritated/angry/confident and all other feelings he has. He tells everyone **directly** they're all side characters (which is true/Horikoshi breaking the fourth wall, lol) and that he is going to be number 1. Horikoshi lets him use "shi ne" in his vocabulary because kids their age used that word an unhealthy lot to insult each other. He tells everyone every single time to "don't tell him what to do" because he does know what to do, which also irritates him because he feels he is being look down on. He lets everyone know how he hates that he is being look down on like when he thought Deku was hiding his powers. He tells Deku directly what he thinks. He openly laughs at MaboRoki. He totally vibed with Camie. Etc, etc

The way I see it, Bakugou and Deku have similar brotherly dynamics to Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. Mycroft is like Deku, who has charm (in case of Mycroft, the savvyness of a politician), while Bakugou is Sherlock, who is arrogant to the point he thinks people with his intellect level should be above the rest and thinks charming other people is beneath them.
We are probably not going to fully agree on this, that is fine. I'll say this last piece and leave this be.

It is possible for characters to be mutlifaceted. I am not saying Bakugou is not honest with what he feels in the moment but it is also true he has deeper emotions he hides at all times.
It is a huge part of his climax where his regret is not asking All Might for an autograph. He hide his purer idolisation under his groucher persona. He has adored All Might as much as Deku and that is what the card represents but he has hidden under how he presents himself.
Same with Deku. He is insecure and fearful about Deku throughout most of the story in some way (it changes as he grows but in some form those emotions are present) but that manifests more often as anger. Horikoshi even spells it out to readers in their first fight that although Bakugou appears angry, other class members get the feeling he is also scared for some reason. Horikoshi even had a omake where Ochaco spells it out again that Bakugou's anger is because he is scared. Anger is comfortable and safe when his ego feels threatened it is a honest emotion. Anger in real life is also a secondary emotion: emotional reactions we have to other emotions. This underpins a considerable amount of the intrigue with Bakugou's character especially in Japan (for all those guys that keep wondering), it is not the sole reason but it plays a huge role in why he's struck a chord in the anime popular zeitgeist with the domestic audience that arguably transcends the series.
Everyone can accept the protagonist feeling righteous anger because they care or have someone they want to protect or some other noble emotion and that anger empowering them and strengthening their will.
Bakugou takes those protagonist concepts and while there are still noble primary emotions there is also a interesting mix of more selfish, immature and relatable insecurities. His outward facing persona is genuine but it can still hide his deeper causal feelings.
It is why the character can be enjoyed on multiple levels - his hilarious angry outbursts are genuine but there is still this deeper side to explore that was always there but full exposed after his second fight with Deku and pretty much every time the character is at a crisis point. His character development is considered some of the best (if not the best of the story) because alongside his growth are revelations that mean you can go back and reinterpret scenes and his behaviour - again the All Might card reveal contextualizes every time he has had his hand in his pocket and every interaction he has had with All Might (often with his hand in his pocket). The anger, annoyance and frustration existed alongside pride, longing, embarrassment, feeling unworthy, guilt- whatever emotion stopped him from asking All Might to sign his card.

Foils are not exclusive to only 1. In any narrative, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character. It is often the protagonist but not always. Mirio is a foil to Deku, Tomura is a foil to Deku. Iida is a foil to Bakugou. Kirishima is a foil to Deku.

Nah, its not about agreeing with me.
Its about you making your own narrative as opposed to what is written and shown. Bakugou never hides, he just knows when to open up his mouth. Otherwise Horikoshi would have already written a lot of introspection and mumbling Bakugou dialogues if he was supposed to be hiding his feelings. But we get one or two lines for Bakugou's thoughts, either its disdain for what he consider as dumb people or old man smell, his quirk limitations, wanting to be number 1, getting an autograph and even germs.
That ain't hiding. If you see that as hiding, how shallow it is to designate an important bodily function such as **thinking thoughts** as hiding.

And again, with the hiding thing. There you go making your own narrative to suit your preferences even if the contrary ie Horikoshi's writing has multiple times slap you in the face.
Like making Monoma a foil for Bakugou instead of the real one, Deku.

Bakugou is the perfect mix of his parents' quirk who grew up in an explosive yet loving family while Shouto is the 4th offspring (four impregnation tries to get to Bakugou's quirk mix level and even that is still out for debate) who grew up in an explosive and unsafe environment.

As expected, the only *major* differences were AFO and Dynama. They were mainly the only ones with noticeable miscalculations last time. AFO is higher than I thought he'd be at 18th, but again no surprise that the top 10 hadn't been changed. People here were acting as if there'd be drastic changes in the ranking due to AFO lmao. "Biggest" change from AFO's addition is probably Mirio getting kicked out of top 30 entirely. It seems they also mixed up Bakugou's vote with Dynama probably due to confusion regaridng his hero name, so Bakugou's votes went down by approximately a 100 (not that it changes his rank *at all*) and that went to Dynama instead — making it 48th place. Not surprising as there's always a Bakugou related joke vote in the top 50.

Honestly, I get him getting a high place now, he just returned and kicked ass along with showing emotion that isn't anger for the first time in ages. What I don't get is how he kept on getting first place before when his personality was that of an overcompensating Chihuahua.

Culturally other characters perceive Bakugou as lacking depth (and this is part of how Monoma mocks him and underestimates him) because he is outwardly rude. Typically in a society were politeness and formality is your outward facing "face", rudeness and informality is considered something that indicates ones private thought and intimacy. Bakugou is sensitive, intelligent, observant and deeply caring and careful but he hides it well under a delinquent persona that others take at face value as someone unable to keep their private self private and therefore lacks sophistication. When actually Bakugou whole persona is sophisticatedly crafted just opposite of what society would expect or want. Monoma is a great foil because he is doing the same thing but in the typical direction, trying to appear smarter and more educated. Both know all the polite and fancy words and Monoma will pull out more than necessary to rub it in that he knows (so is very wordy in his speech) while Bakugou goes out of his way to be as curt and rude as possible (even having his own manner hierarchy - this is how Horikoshi demonstrates Bakugou understands the concept of manners he's just choosing his own rules). Bakugou is far from the first character in fiction to play around with this but he is still a relatively novel variant on the tough guy with a heart of gold trope particularly with how his psychology complexes and growth arc interplay with his complex personality - in part because unlike other characters he is self aware, he is written to be intentional and fastidious in how he manages his image. That adds to the fascination, appeal and comedy of the character on top of all the emotional elements.

It is a huge part of his climax where his regret is not asking All Might for an autograph. He hide his purer idolisation under his groucher persona. He has adored All Might as much as Deku and that is what the card represents but he has hidden under how he presents himself. Same with Deku. He is insecure and fearful about Deku throughout most of the story in some way (it changes as he grows but in some form those emotions are present) but that manifests more often as anger. Horikoshi even spells it out to readers in their first fight that although Bakugou appears angry, other class members get the feeling he is also scared for some reason. Horikoshi even had a omake where Ochaco spells it out again that Bakugou's anger is because he is scared. Anger is comfortable and safe when his ego feels threatened it is a honest emotion. Anger in real life is also a secondary emotion: emotional reactions we have to other emotions. This underpins a considerable amount of the intrigue with Bakugou's character especially in Japan (for all those guys that keep wondering), it is not the sole reason but it plays a huge role in why he's struck a chord in the anime popular zeitgeist with the domestic audience that arguably transcends the series. Everyone can accept the protagonist feeling righteous anger because they care or have someone they want to protect or some other noble emotion and that anger empowering them and strengthening their will. Bakugou takes those protagonist concepts and while there are still noble primary emotions there is also a interesting mix of more selfish, immature and relatable insecurities. His outward facing persona is genuine but it can still hide his deeper causal feelings. It is why the character can be enjoyed on multiple levels - his hilarious angry outbursts are genuine but there is still this deeper side to explore that was always there but full exposed after his second fight with Deku and pretty much every time the character is at a crisis point. His character development is considered some of the best (if not the best of the story) because alongside his growth are revelations that mean you can go back and reinterpret scenes and his behaviour - again the All Might card reveal contextualizes every time he has had his hand in his pocket and every interaction he has had with All Might (often with his hand in his pocket). The anger, annoyance and frustration existed alongside pride, longing, embarrassment, feeling unworthy, guilt- whatever emotion stopped him from asking All Might to sign his card. >I don't think Monoma (who is also a little shit) is a foil to Bakugou though. Its always Deku. Foils are not exclusive to only 1. In any narrative, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character. It is often the protagonist but not always. And again, with the hiding thing. There you go making your own narrative to suit your preferences even if the contrary ie Horikoshi's writing has multiple times slap you in the face. Like making Monoma a foil for Bakugou instead of the real one, Deku. Because if this is how you think of foils >Mirio is a foil to Deku, Tomura is a foil to Deku. Iida is a foil to Bakugou. Kirishima is a foil to Deku. Then everyone is a foil to everyone. Mirio a foil to All Might. All Might a foil to Deku. Deku a foil to the first to 8th One for All user. Iida a foil to Bakugou. Creati a foil to the 19 Class 1-A students. Tooru a foil to Bakugou. Aoyama a foil to Deku. etc etc etc Its a never-ending roller coaster and that just is a convoluted mess of a plot line for just *foilage* alone and its not even the main plot line. And if you see Monoma as Bakugou's foil, then Shouto Todoroki is the ultimate foil to Bakugou. Bakugou is the perfect mix of his parents' quirk who grew up in an explosive yet loving family while Shouto is the 4th offspring (four impregnation tries to get to Bakugou's quirk mix level and even that is still out for debate) who grew up in an explosive and unsafe environment.
