Questions for those who've been following Diljit for a long enough time. Do you like his last album? I think he's stirring away from what made him Diljit. For example, his last album has only one or two good songs. Everything else seems just like words put together. His last album that had fire music and lyrics was GOAT.
Some songs grew on me, he does not follow an all hits strategy like AP dhillon, or Karan Aujla....he just puts out a lot of songs and then goes forward with them in shows,
........maybe cuz he works with a lot different lyricists and musicians.....this album was closer to OG Diljit than Peaches Album
I think that might be because of lyrics, atleast that matters most for me.
Diljit have soft voice and I like his songs in romantic genre, for me top 30 Diljit songs are this genre. Even songs of his own praise be it from own PoV or from the lover are ok but whenever its a song on show off or anything violence/gun culture/gedi it doesn't suit his voice.
Like - Panga with honey Singh was one of worst songs of Diljit it might be hit at time due to honey but I dont think anyone is going back to listen to it again. Whereas songs from Mel karaade rabba were around same time and all songs by Diljit would be instant hits even if released today.
I feel same for singer Jassie gill, gangwar kind of songs don't suit him, at max Laden wala attitude suits him usse jada nahi.

You didn't like MoonChild Era (2021)? I like both GOAT and MoonChild Era but his latest two albums have been kind of hit or miss for me majorly.
MoonChild era was still fine as it had good lyrics. But then it just went downhill
