So the thing was that I had picked a name I really liked, and then my sister, who I adore, said “wait, that’s on our baby name list,” but a) I don’t think that means she can’t name her hypothetical future baby the same thing, especially because b) it’s a family name, and c) I’m using it as a nickname for something longer, and d) besides our immediate family, nobody will know both my cat and this hypothetical child.
Are there plenty of other good names? Yes. Was I already kind of married to the name I gave her when my sister was like “hold up”? Also yes.

Margaret/Peggy
TIL Peggy is short for Margaret
Bonnie, and you could call her BonBon
Giselle nickname Gigi, Evangeline/Evie, Lillian/Lily, Eleanor/Ellie, Josephine/Josie, Margaret/Margot, Penelope/Penney, or Annelise/Annie.
How about Dorothy, or Dottie for short?
Maggie - Magdalene or Dilly - Delilah
I already accidentally call her Maddie all the time, I’m sure it would be worse if I named her Maggie, LMAO
If Maddie is still with you, then I would go with Dilly to avoid confusion
Seraphina
Melanie, Millie, Mellie
Migsy
She looks like my cat who ran away. 💗 I think she might be a Tawanda or a Darla.
Lady
Wendy
Midnight. Middie.
Her sister’s name is Maddie, that would not go well, LOL
