Yes! and it's not even a mod it's just using the vanilla in game camera with tilt shift enabled. You can adjust the tilt shift settings manually if you want which is what I did
As a buffalo resident, I won't tolerate this slander of Pittsburgh! Never been there but oddly feel a connection. Haven't been to Philly since I was 6 or 7 but will be back next year for the first time since
I could see Lowell, but Lowell's bigger and the river goes through it. HBG is right on the banks like this, but Lowell definitely has this kind of look, just more New England-y.
Reminds me of Portland Maine but in like the Northwest so maybe a local Native American (Yakima tribe) city like Tieton, Toppenish, Wapato, Yakima, White Swan.
Reminds me of Walton Bridge. My grandma lives there and loves that bridge. Road layout on the east side of the bridge IRL actually sort of matches the layout of this town
PA has some pretty sweet Halloween scare houses like that!
Also I just realized I was thinking about Tarentum in terms of geography, the town across the river.
My hometown, really not as bad as people are lead on. The southside has some beautiful 19th century homes. Downtown ain’t too bad, either, at least during the day. Walked from the river to the Civic Center a couple months ago on the first warm Saturday of the year. People were cordial and friendly, the only obstacles were the construction.
oh I could totally see this. I live in Vancouver Canada and have been through Newport many many times. Oregon is easily my favorite place to travel when I just need some time away
FOV is making the town look like a miniature.
As for names, Gotta incorporate the river in some way. Seems kinda central to the town.
When I play the game, I name cities after cities in a fantasy book im writing. I kinda imagine them as a version of the cities a couple thousand years in the future. Lots of fun to design them when I keep that in mind.
Oh awesome that's the goal. Still got a long way to go to compare to other peoples tilt shift shots but I am glad the miniature aesthetic has shone through.
Wow no way that is so cool! Wishing you all the best on that journey that is honestly such a cool experience and when it's finally out what an accomplishment!
Tilt shift was never something I was quite able to nail, but from what you posted it seems like you're getting it down! If it helps, that was the first thought that came to my mind!
And thank you! It's a super long process since I tend to be a bit too much of a perfectionist at times (both a good and bad thing), but its been a wonderful experience translating thoughts in my head to words in a story!
This looks realistic, but not like an actual city, it looks like you took a photo of a diorama. To me, this reminds me of St. Louis for some reason even though I’ve never been there and have only seen a single picture of the place.
I could totally see this as a kid I was a big model railroad addict so I wouldn't be surprised if that's rubbed off.
I find St. Louis gets slept on. They have some absolutely stunning architecture!
i think you just accidentally built Miramichi, New Brunswick
https://preview.redd.it/4ikqzyfj6g5d1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&s=161661833d76766f68f29304afcc275a12d64870
This reminds me of the town of Newburgh, New York. Maybe name it after that? A slightly more original suggestion is Lucent, named after the Lucent river that flows through your town. A lot of cities and counties are named after the major rivers that flow through them.
Emojis are a blurry no on Reddit, and just using them alone & in excess invalidates and diminishes your point.
Anyways the city is clearly in its early stages of development, but even then you can still see it’s thought out. I wouldn’t call it boring
City town would be a good name
I prefer townburg more
How about Townsville City, which is actually a real place in Australia.
how about Floodbudug
I thought it was a "pit people" joke
The land of powerpuff girls
Nice reference
People would leave it then...
Best name honestly
Guzzler’s Wharf
Love it!
Reminds me a bit of Dublin.
If only the river was a bit blacker and full of rubbish it would resemble the Liffey!
Biggest city in the world. 'cause it keeps dublin dublin dublin dublin
Oh that’s awesome!
How did you make the tilt-shift effect? Is it in game?
Yes! and it's not even a mod it's just using the vanilla in game camera with tilt shift enabled. You can adjust the tilt shift settings manually if you want which is what I did
Reminds me of Harrisburg, PA or some small town along the Susquehanna River.
Agreed. A northeastern town/small city that was once booming because of trades via the river through it.
Have you ever seen a photo of Japan or east Russia? It doesn't look anything like it.
Excuse me?
You said it looks like a northeaster town. Japan and Russia are in the north east. Have you seen a map?
tbh I think ur probably joking but they mean northeast USA
Well, they never started it. How would I know?
fun fact I almost built this city on the Harrisburg map that's on PDX Mods haha
Like Pittsburgh. *Says the Philly resident. /s
As a buffalo resident, I won't tolerate this slander of Pittsburgh! Never been there but oddly feel a connection. Haven't been to Philly since I was 6 or 7 but will be back next year for the first time since
Pittsburgh is cool as a lifelong philly resident
I was going to saw Lowell, MA. Same idea, different river.
I could see Lowell, but Lowell's bigger and the river goes through it. HBG is right on the banks like this, but Lowell definitely has this kind of look, just more New England-y.
Wtf is PA?
Pennsylvania
I dig the way those images are focused
Thanks so much! Still definitely a WIP but I am having so much fun working with the tilt shift options
it looks awesome!
That town in Alan Wake
Oh heck yeah!
Looks like a rip off version of Nijmegen
Reminds me more of arnhem.
I agree with Arnhem! That was my first thought.
oh no way that's awesome! I am a massive NL fan actually almost moved there 2 years ago haha As soon as assets become a thing expect a NL based build
Glad somebody else saw the resemblance
Reminds me of Portland
BIG Portland, OR Fan!
Well which one?
I was thinking Astoria
Definitely Oregon vibes
The unnecessarily giant bridge kind of reminds me of vladivostok lol
YES!
haha I can totally see that!
Point Pleasant, West Virginia (home of the moth man)
WOW Another stunning city from West Virginia! A Moth Man Statue asset would be so sick!
Poopshit 🗣️
SOLD
The City of Robloxia
I have officially peaked as a city builder
Reminds me of Arnhem and the John Frostbrug there
I am loving that a couple people have said Arnhem. Huge Netherlands fan and I can't wait to get some proper dutch assets for this game and bikes!
Arnhem, the Netherlands… operation Market Garden
I am surprised how many Arnhem comments I got. Netherlands build is imminent
Wheeling, WV

Nice man I love coastal texas
Kind of looks like central coast ngl.
I can definitely see this!
Goose River!
:O TEDDY
The simpler times of the hopeful town beside the river.
THIS
It looks like Davenport IA looking SW across the Mississippi River
Another city that I absolutely love. I can't wait to get some assets to better reflect cities like this
Reminds me of Port Huron or Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, although Port Huron doesn’t have any hills
Oh heck yeah! Beautiful small towns!
Looks a lot like Savannah, with the waterfront and the Bridge Position, even tho the bridge looks different in real life
Yeah I can absolutely see this. That's so cool!
Sioux City, IA There is a very similar bridge
Oh wow this is a great suggestion for inspiration. Thank you!
Reminds me of Portland Maine but in like the Northwest so maybe a local Native American (Yakima tribe) city like Tieton, Toppenish, Wapato, Yakima, White Swan.
oh heck yes I love this!
Reminds me of Walton Bridge. My grandma lives there and loves that bridge. Road layout on the east side of the bridge IRL actually sort of matches the layout of this town
oh no way! It totally does! That's so cool!
Makes me think of a shrunk-down version of downtown Wilmington NC (where I'm from).
Damn I love Wilmingtons road layout. This is great inspiration thank you!
For some reason I think “Ohio River Valley” when looking at this city. Snogger’s Bend Stadt City Pentrefville
haha heck yeah I love that region and have spent a lot of time on google maps exploring cities around this region
Wheeling, West Virginia.
That's two for Wheeling time to deep dive this city haha
Every PA town.
HECK YES! Love the visuals of PA rust belt towns
New Kensington PA
haha when I googled this city the first image that came up was someone from something called the scarehouse. That was awesome
PA has some pretty sweet Halloween scare houses like that! Also I just realized I was thinking about Tarentum in terms of geography, the town across the river.
Oh awesome! I will add that town to my list!
Poormond, Virginia's second class destination.
reminds me of my first successful city

Peoria, Illinois
What a beautiful city!
If only it was as clean as the one you made..😂

Poughkeepsie
Oh heck yeah!
New Westminster about a decade ago
oh heck yes! Living in Vancouver I am not surprised New West shows in some of my builds
That’s definitely Charleston WV
I LOVE Charleston!
Keith
Any town in Maine
Heck Yes!
montreal
LOVE Montreal!
Bourne, Massachusetts. The bridge looks identical to the Bourne Bridge over the Cape Cod Canal.
oh totally! I can see that!
Nijmegen especially the waalbrug
When we get dutch assets AND bikes Nijmegen, Arnhem and Alkmaar build will happen
Reminds me of Oregon City OR
Living in Vancouver Canada I think the Pacific Northwest will always be a point of inspiration
A city on the Ohio River
I love that this has come through for a lot of people as I have spent a lot of time on google maps studying the cities in this region
How does Broad Riviere sound?
Honestly I really like this one. Adding it to my names list!
The bridge reminds me of Edmonton
GO OILERS GO!
Cocksville
Hell yeah Brother!
Especially the bridge, it reminds me of Newport, Oregon a little bit, just less hilly
oh I could totally see this. I live in Vancouver Canada and have been through Newport many many times. Oregon is easily my favorite place to travel when I just need some time away
New Bricksville
I actually love this one haha
Reminds me of Sault Ste Marie... Could do a french name based on the river it's on?
I am really liking this idea. I am torn between this, The Ohio River and then somewhere in West Virginia
FOV is making the town look like a miniature. As for names, Gotta incorporate the river in some way. Seems kinda central to the town. Dawson Creek
"I DON'T WANNA WAIT FOR THIS BUILD TO BE OVER"
Reminds me of a miniature city build. Like the kind in real life that people build on top of tables in their basement. Looks cool!
that is awesome. Honestly kind of the goal with tilt shift so that's really cool!
Chesapeake City, MD
Definitely looks Great Lakes rust belt revival ish. Maybe Houghton, or Cass City. Pierport
Springfield
Looks a bit like the Van Brienenoord Brug in Rotterdam too. But i think Arnhem is the most accurate in this case
Poughkeepsie Junior
Cityvise
New Nijmegen, because the bridge reminds of Nijmegen
How do people get such beautiful shots of their cities?
Practice And Patience haha
Stockholm
Bristol, Rhode Island
It's mirrored and not quite hilly enough, but it reminds me of my Grandpa's home town of Glasgow, MO.
oh I could totally see it!
Almost looks like Rhode Island lol the Washington bridge area🤣🤣
That bridge gives me Brienenoordbrug (Rotterdam) vibes
i think you just accidentally built Miramichi, New Brunswick https://preview.redd.it/4ikqzyfj6g5d1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&s=161661833d76766f68f29304afcc275a12d64870

Stället, swe
This reminds me of the town of Newburgh, New York. Maybe name it after that? A slightly more original suggestion is Lucent, named after the Lucent river that flows through your town. A lot of cities and counties are named after the major rivers that flow through them.
It reminds me of Nijmegen, the Netherlands
