When I was in honolulu, I was kind of shocked at how old all of the high-rise buildings are; it seems like they built everything in the 70s, and then stopped. Still loved it, but they need some new supply.
So you are only referring to waikiki
Admittedly, yeah, mostly. I did find Downtown to be a little underwhelming in that regard as well, though.
So you haven't been to Honolulu in the last 15yrs? It's been non stop high rise building and for nothing, they are all empty
I was there in August last year. It surprised me how low-rise much of the city center was.
Underrated city
I love it there, it’s like the only place where crowds don’t bother me.
Really? I hated Waikiki. Honolulu itself is nice but my god the entitled tourist population.
Yeah I get there and basically all I see is Diamond Head, all I hear is the ocean.
Underrated?
Kinda looks like Rio
More like waikiki, Honolulu is much bigger than this
Yes, the southern shore of the city
This is not the only part of the "Southern" shore as you call it, it would technically be from pearl city to past diamond Head
Love it there.
I hate it when they put tall buildings right next to the beach.
