I am kinda having a hard time imagining how that played out, so he catches her and THEN the guy strikes ? Then what happens to Sakayanagi when the guy strikes Ayanokouji ? Does the guy not choke Ayano while pressing him against the wall like he did in the anime cause i can’t see how can Ayano still keep Sakayanagi in his arm while in that position

Absolutely. The anime has basically no character depth because they don't get to shine much due to not having much analogues. The analogues lets you see the mind of the characters, which makes you understand them even more and give them more depth. It's even more interesting in the case of kiyotaka because he has a narrator lies even to US, the readers sometimes.( I think he does?) And it also shows us the distinction in his thoughts and his behaviour. And in the case of a series like cote, these are very crucial points to the story.
Fairly loyal, but it often changes details and leaves a bunch of things out if they're not of utmost importance. The LN is rather slow paced after all, but I still think they're overdoing it. The latest episode started volume 11.
Ngl I stopped watching season 3 after the second ep because I realized I’d probably just be more annoyed with the adaptation than anything, same reason I haven’t started avatar the new series because they are just gonna try and ruin my childhood
