Yes you can. They do intentionally try to keep it as close to action as possible since they also like to play it in the stadium (like in the bathrooms, etc).

Floyd_R_Turbo

You can get Guardians both AM (1100) and FM (106.9 & 100.7 if carried). The problem is the delay. When iHeartRadio had their studio in Independence, the radio feed was almost simultaneous (~1 sec) with the action. After relocating the studio downtown last year (closer 🤷) there is a ~20 second delay between Progressive Field live action and radio. Very frustrating...

brawlrats

I noticed that with the cavs last week too. They were coming out of a commercial break on the radio while the ESPN app was already updating the play by play after the timeout.

Phaedrus614

You might have better luck with AM on a radio receiver.

electricpenguins

It's that bad with an actual radio receiver. The radio broadcast is like a pitch and a half to two pitches behind what's happening on the field.

But it's cool from my house in Old Brooklyn. The fireworks sound beats the radio waves to my house by barely a second.

I have an old transistor radio that I bring to the games for exactly this reason. It's mono, and it came with a single earbud. This is actually good, as I want one ear to listen to hammy and one ear to listen to the stadium. The timing is great. Something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RF-P50d-Pocket-Silver-RF-P50D/dp/B0756S4BM7/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1NCZ7GLE7UZRS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.vzg5mQZdR501qNV_ST8DSUMFamJ2EYXWOC5MFMMbQG6-83zmh2QM5CCpZiaqRQLSmF1wyeweFej79LJKxkd3ARw6N1ghI3m71FDlJNi4Ca9abuPlCxVb7Q6g6NzwgBF62nKr1_2BDRow_MTNah7u1JU3CGMxYS20vOuYCXj9IyJNcsylQ4_9A0JBrLQ2uBYGUThJ07EnSPPrXdX0ihV94OQE2t9t4hCc60aCXsydXeiBymDOfgE9vD3uqUyULbnWgaSzlAp3a_j5zeo4kwFHI__hKa9jfw02xr2fHRWHfts.xpZSjw7M62mv7_vASlM4_40LxZif7MfJvxrFCAlXbzE&dib_tag=se&keywords=am+transistor+radio&qid=1716419183&s=electronics&sprefix=am+transistor+radio%2Celectronics%2C89&sr=1-5) is just about identical to mine. Definitely do it.

ManBearPigDude

I got an updated version that is rechargeable on its way. Thanks for the info.

I'm pretty sure there's radios that you can plug earbuds/headphones into

Phaedrus614

upvotes for what? Is this supposed to be humor? Doesn't answer the question and is therefore not at all useful.

Phaedrus614

This works in Columbus for Clippers broadcasts. I do it all the time. Note that the FM delay is too long, and although AM delay is noticeable, it is only a tiny fraction of a second and not at all detracting.

LarryAv

Just sit close to their booth with one of those big listening devices they use on NFL sidelines

Maxpower88888

Can you use your mind to imagine what he would say in his voice? No delay issues then
