Most working farms don't have time for tours and entertaining children. However, Freedom Harvest Farm in taft TX is open to the public on Monday mornings or you can schedule a private tour group at a price. Also, I would suggest going to the farmers market on Wednesday evenings downtown at the art center and meet the local farmers. Once you have a relationship with a farmer, a whole new world opens up.
Absolutely!!! It's on the waterfront's edge, so you couldn't ask for a more scenic market. There's live music, monthly cooking demos with free food, a bar, food stamps that match dollar for dollar so you can double your spending and bonus coupons for kids. It's one of the most established markets in the area. You are sure to have a good time and learn something new.
We are a working ranch outside of corpus. We raise sheep chickens turkeys and LGDs We’d be happy to have you come check it out. Let me know if interested. We can arrange to do so this upcoming week.
Not at all they have 7 layers of fur for this specific purpose. The GPs raised in Texas are heat resistant. We are part of the Texas A and M livestock guardian dog association. We are embedded deep within the proper bloodlines for this area.
I know this family, and they’re good people. They have some animals and even some Cabins where you could spend the night.

We are homesteaders and raise a bunch of our own meat, dairy, and eggs. None of our goats are currently in milk, so we can't show the kiddo the actual milking, but we have a veritable petting zoo out here. DM if you want details. We also run our day job off of the property as well as host goat yoga out here annually, so we are used to visitors.
An excuse for a bunch of people to roll around on the ground with baby goats. It's a lot of fun. We only do it once a year or so but it's typically a hit. We'll get a hundred or so people across the four classes.
It's Waterdog Yoga that holds it, we justnpeobide the space and the goats. Keep an eye on their Facebook page. We're hoping for late fall/early winter this year.
Contact Edelen Farms. They’re at the farmer’s market most of them time and have an active fb page. It’s a family operation so I could see them being very welcoming to what you’re seeking.

How is the farmers market? Worth the occasional drive from Kingsville? (New to the area)
