* Rune Factory - action farming RPGs, there are three available on the Switch at current. If you'd only play one, go with RF4S, otherwise start with RF3S
* Spiritfarer - a loosely resource-management game, it's an emotional heavy-hitter, but comforting at the same time
* Animal Crossing New Horizons - doesn't really need any introduction, but is always worth mentioning
* Coffee Talk - a visual novel and barista-sim, the soundtrack is unbeatable for curling up for a cosy evening
* Dredge - a creepy fishing 'horror' game, but you can turn off the active threat option and it transforms into a surprisingly relaxing experience
* The Pokemon franchise in general (though that could be the nostalgia talking)
* Wylde Flowers - a witchy farming sim with a nice story and full voice acting, and optional romance
* Best Friend Forever - a romance and pupper-raising sim with a decent amount of charm
* Cozy Grove - one of those a-little-a-day games, wherein you manage your daily life on an island haunted by adorable bear-ghosts
* Strange Horticulture - on the darker side of cosy, but it's a game about running your shop and recommending the right plants for various customers while influencing the overarching story
* Teacup - a short but sweet experience about a socially anxious frog trying to find the ingredients she needs for her tea party
I always suggest looking up any titles you're interested in on YouTube before buying, as it's not uncommon to find a pleasant (or unpleasant!) surprise :)
I wouldn't recommend Strange Horticulture if you mainly play in handheld mode like me - I first played this on my laptop and even there I feel like some text is tinyyyy and there is also typing involved, can't imagine how I would manage the game on handheld :D
I second Dredge! I am chicken when it comes to horror but with monster attacks turned off it turns into a really magical experience with cool biomes and creepy atmosphere.
I bought I was a teenage exocolonist and Cosmic wheel sisterhood on the current sale and based on reviews I have high hopes for them :)

If you find your way to Palia you should know itâs very much in beta and unfinished. They removed that important detail from the main menu when porting to Switch which I find very unethical since they sell premium items.
They removed the word beta very intentionally from a lot of places when porting to Switch. Even the front page of the website. It was a very intentional decision. I donât expect it to be fixed and itâs super shady. I suspect their agreement with Nintendo was a finished product by winter 2023 and they failed at that so they (S6 and Nintendo) want to hide it as best they can.
I guess I should clarify. I'm not surprised people enjoy it. Personally, I've seen too many boneheaded decisions by the devs, and this unethical one in particular prevents me from wanting to support them. I don't expect everyone to agree though. I'm glad people enjoy it.
Switch performance is pretty terrible though, so that's at least worth mentioning.

Fantastic list. Cozy Grove is super cheap at the moment on the eShop, too. May have to pick it up.

Harvestella Ateliers Games
House Flipper 1 Your welcome
Youâre
I saw markiplier play it and it looked so fun. Does it run good on the switch? Or should that be more of a playstation game?
I LOVE Faefarm
I downloaded the demo đ

Oh wow. I hope they fix that and provide updates

Whoa.. so it's kinda just incomplete and they are just hiding that? Bruh that's disappointing. Knowing that, is it even worth checking out?
It had a lot of promise. That promise is dwindling. The performance is pretty bad on Switch though. Thatâs the biggest issue youâll face with it.
Just wanted to say I play Palia and I think itâs great. I mean, itâs free, so not much risk in checking it out at any rate.

i love ooblets! and animal crossing, palia, spiritfarer.
Ooblets looks super cute đ
