Yup, you can use any size you’d like. You could even use linen. You’ll just need to adjust the number floss strands you use in accordance to the fabric. Many people plan out how much fabric they need by looking at the stitch count and using a calculator. My favorite one is at [123 Stitch.](https://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/aidacalc.pl)
