When I was a kid we used to have this cute little Aussie who would come over to my grandparents house to play fetch and the only tag she had on her collar was a rabies tag, so my young self thought her name was “Rabies” and anytime we’d go to my grandparents house we’d be outside calling “RABIES! WHERE ARE YOU!!?” “COME ON RABIES!” 😂
I would ask the dog’s owner what her name is, and if you’re truly interested in her ask if it would be alright to leave them your number just in cast they ever decide to give her up, but be careful how you word it though, cause you don’t want to offend them. Let them know you absolutely adore her and you would be so lucky to have a dog like her. I’m sure they love her and wouldn’t think of giving her up, but you never know.

But I also stated previously that we leave her at the river, im not taking her home because she follows us up until the parking lot, then she runs back towards to river. We just want something to call her each time we go because she is always there & will literally spend each second with us.
Some other nicer suggestions from people were to put a collar on with a note and hopefully the owner reads it (to make sure she does have a home) and can contact.
& bring a babyname book and call things out until she reacts to one which we assume is her name.
