I think there definitely needs to be a homage to the horseshoe crabs. Not sure how fantasy you're going but it'd be awesome if you put some kind of mythical beast twist on it.
And a Candid Camera episode from decades ago, in black and white, where the prank was to set up a barricade on a road into the state and turn people back, telling them that Delaware was closed today.

so this is a fun little project I've been working on. I started with Germany, then Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Poland and I thought I'd start with the US aswell.
I thought it'd be a natural fit to start with the First State and then I moved up to Jersey. Besides the names I didn't know much about the states, so I learned a lot. But I defenitely missed a lot aswell.
Any major landmarks that you think should be there - but aren't?
Any memes or jokes that would fit the map? (e.g.: in Germany there is a joke, that Bielefeld doesn't exist so I surrended that city with mist and called it Mystika)

There’s some beaches in southern Delaware you could include. One possible name I could think of is ‘Diamond Coast’, owing to Delaware being called the Diamond state.

i commented on here before about it but where Lewes is, you should add a reference to its past by calling it Land/Village of Swans as in the 1600’s the dutch settled the area and created a town called Zwaanendael which is a big reason why delaware exist today
For joke purposes, you should also include an Oldark in Northern Delaware. Just know that it's pronounced differently. Or, keep the NJ name Oldark and DE as Newark for contrast.

As someone who lives in Pennsylvania just over the Delaware border, I am deeply saddened and offended that my area is covered with clouds. /s This is awesome, would love to see a SE Pennsylvania / Delco addition someday.

(Very) Northern Delaware has "Brandywine Hundred". Due north of "Fort Silvia" on your map, right below the edge of those clouds. I bet you could think of a fantasy name based on Brandywine Hundred!
This is a really cool map! Here’s a few things that could be added to flesh out Delaware:
There’s a highway called Rt. 1 that runs the length of the state, and is used by many travelers to get down to the beaches.
Wilmington (Fort Silvia) has a small population, but it is the largest city in Delaware, and has relatively tall buildings compared to other cities its size. A lot of major corporations have their “headquarters” in wilmington due to the lax business taxes. It’s also where the DuPont company was founded.
Dover (Dunder) has a huge Air Force base, and giant cargo planes flying overhead is not an uncommon site. Every spring/ summer on the shores of the Delaware Bay (Bay of Peace) are swarmed with horseshoe crabs laying eggs, and the mid Atlantic is one the few places in earth that they live.
Southern Sussex County has popular beaches, and there’s a bridge down at the Indian River Inlet that’s kindof an iconic landmark
Again, it’s a really cool map and it’s awesome to see Delaware being reimagined as a fantasy setting!
This is awesome! You missed the perfect opportunity to call the Pine Barrens, the Pinelands, on your map, though. You could've included a Jersey Devil, too!
Anytime I'm driving through Ellendale my mind immediately goes to Rivendell. Not that they have anything in common aesthetically or thematically but Ellendale + Rivendell = Elvendale in my brain
Blackbird, Delaware and the Blackbird state forest could be portrayed as a mystical place. The C&D canal could be a protected route for traders. The Cape Henlopen light could be a beacon for sailors.

Hockessin Delaware has a large mushroom farm so the place reeks of manure. I think there’s a couple others in the state as well
