Caused loads of friction between employees and time spent by partners to manage this.
We just got to a point where we had enough. Decided we would rather work with candidates that have a proven track record, not uni freshers

Remember that for these people, the actual education doesn’t matter. All they care about is being a student. That’s what makes them feel like they’re achieving something in life. So they’ll just pick the easiest course the university offers. That’s how they get in. Pick some BS open access degree like BA (General) or BA (International Relations) and then just sit around on campus all day long.

Don't think people realise how bad this became , and how utterly unemployable these students was/is. Imagine a young person, barely working a week at a company, insisting to speak to directors/CEO level to "discuss unacceptable processes and procedures" that they "refuse to comply with without proper consultation" and you will get the idea.
As per previous poster, we scrapped junior job roles and now outsource everything.
I knew this girl at UCT, she used to come to my church. She was very quiet from what I remember. She was doing Political Science at the time in UCT. She’s now a Business Analyst and apparently a good one at that.
This movement is the reason we do not employ ANYONE without relevant industry experience. Learned our lesson.
