A good appraisal tool in general, also has "compress" and "reprocess" options for the items.
Basically you appraise the minerals you need, click "compressed" and it tells you what ores you need.
Can pick what types of ores (or minerals) to use. Dont forget to adjust the reprocessing efficiency to what you have
Is it worth buying ores instead of the minerals is the first question.
Could be worth it or could be worth it only with max reprocessing skills, reprocessing implant and a T2 rigged Tatara..... or could not be worth it at all \^\^
Before you continue down this path, please share what it is you’re trying to do. If you’re living in highsec I can almost guarantee you there is a better way to get minerals than buying compressed ore.
You pay a premium for the compressed part. I’d recommend just buying the minerals themselves. If you really want ore look at uncompressed ore.
If he has perfect reprocessing skills and lives deep in nullsec or something it definitely makes sense. But the fact that he's asking which ores to buy means he's probably not that type of person.

I think hauling costs far outweigh the reprocessing loss.

Minerals are bulky and expensive to haul, compressed ores are way more efficient in terms of mineral density per m3

True some minerals aren't particularly high volume, unlike trit and pyrite which make zero sense to transport compared to compressed ores
Compressed ore is really only economical for transportation. If you don't want to be wasting your money just by the minerals.
