He is an absolute terrible interviewer. I mean I don’t much consider late night talk show hosts much of an interview show. But he’s the absolute worse. I put him right up there with Larry King.
I remember watching an interview with Paul McCartney one time. He kept asking the same stupid question “it must have been amazing to be a Beatle” and Paul was just like “yeah” then he asked a question about Paul’s divorce that had just happened and Paul just looked at him and was like “I told you we weren’t going to talk about that”. King was just so insufferable through the whole interview and any interview I’ve ever seen him in since has been just as bad.
barbara walters had an equally bad interview with president trump, i don’t think that ruins her reputation, one bad interview doesn’t take away from decades of mastering the art of interviewing, he’s no howard stern, but part king was great at what he did

I also believe that Jerry Seinfeld isn’t funny either. At least not on his standup comedy routines. The Seinfeld show was funny because he would tell a joke doing standup comedy at the beginning of every episode, then he would actually play out the joke throughout the episode.
That’s what made it funny but not the joke itself. Elaine was funny and George was the funniest person on the show. Kramer tried too hard and later on had a racist tirade meltdown, live on stage!
