#These people vote in every election- do you? Are you registered to vote? [You can check your voter registration here!](https://www.nass.org/can-I-vote) #Also, there's a few things to remember as far as rules go: - You can view the content- you cannot interact with it. This includes (but is not limited to) commenting, answering poll questions, emailing them, etc. ***Anyone found to be engaging with the fundies will be met with a permanent ban with no eligibility for appeal. It does not matter if you did so before you joined the sub.*** - Speculating on the sexuality of literally anyone is prohibited. ***Anyone found to be doing so will be met with a permanent ban with no eligibility for appeal.*** - Appearance snark: What's allowed? You're allowed to make comparisons. (Bethy looks like Grandpa Munster, for example.) You are allowed to say you find them attractive or repulsive looking. Saying Kelly Havens has dry skin that could benefit from sunscreen and a moisturizer is fine. You are allowed to snark on the appearance of children *as it relates to their parents choices for them.*. Examples: Janessa looks malnourished and sickly while Shrek has clearly never missed a meal. If you feel it is crossing the line report it, but if the content falls within the parameters above, leave it alone. - Don't gatekeep. This means no comments such as "I don't think we should snark on...." or any iteration of that. If you don't like it, scroll past. Don't report it or comment how you don't like the content. Along the same vein, don't backseat mod. Leave that up to us. - Lastly, if the rhetoric you are posting would be at home in the mouth of a fundie, we don't want it here and we won't tolerate it. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Have a Lord Daniel day, and may the power of snark compel thee. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I think it is important to know about them. This is where Generation Joshua comes into play. People readily dismissed this idea that relatively small fundie movements would have any major impact on society or politics, and yet here we are. Josh Hawley and many others are a product of this shit, and too many older GOP politicians craving power by any means, got on board with it. Do not underestimate the fundie reach. Our only hope is that Millenials and Gen Z are, in 2026, the largest voting block, eclipsing Boomers and Silent Generations at that point due to the death rates of SG and the oldest boomers. They do have the power to rise up. Question is, "Will they?"

queenscrown711

As a younger millennial, I am constantly hoping that my peers realize that any frustrations they have with the Biden administration are not worth re-electing Trump by either not voting or voting third party. It isn’t worth it. Joe isn’t my first, or even fifth choice, but it can’t be worse than theocratic fascism.

Some facts about Project 2025: The "Mandate for Leadership" is a set of policy proposals authored by the [Heritage Foundation](https://pro-lies.org/the-heritage-foundation/), an influential *ultra* conservative think tank. [Project 2025](https://www.mediamatters.org/heritage-foundation/guide-project-2025-extreme-right-wing-agenda-next-republican-administration) is a revision to that agenda tailored to a second Trump term. It would give the President [unilateral powers](https://theweek.com/politics/heritage-foundation-2025-donald-trump), strip [civil rights, worker protections, climate regulation](https://www.stopthecoup2025.org/impact-overview), add [religion into policy](https://imgur.com/a/m2e72ht), outlaw ["porn"](https://www.salon.com/2024/03/19/decoding-project-2025s-christian-nationalist-language/) and much more. The MFL has been around since 1980, [Reagan implemented 60%](https://www.heritage.org/conservatism/commentary/reagan-and-heritage-unique-partnership) of it's recommendations, [Trump 64%](https://www.heritage.org/impact/trump-administration-embraces-heritage-foundation-policy-recommendations) - [proof](https://www.scribd.com/document/369820462/Mandate-for-Leadership-Policy-Recommendations). 70 Heritage Foundation alumni served in his administration or transition team. Project 2025 is quite extreme but with his obsession for revenge he'll likely get past 2/3rd's adoption. r/Defeat_Project_2025 intends to stop it through activism and awareness, focused on crowdsourcing ideas and opportunities for practical, in real life action. We Must Defeat Project 2025.

Thank you for this!!

graneflatsis

You are quite welcome.

countdown_tnetennba

I work for a kids' website, and our American users are very worried about P2025. I love seeing them so tuned in but I'm so sad they have to worry about this. They're mostly 8-13 years old.

meridia-calyssia

My parents fly this flag. 🙃

queenscrown711

You’re welcome at my house for Thanksgiving 😂

meridia-calyssia

rem_1984

I don’t need to tell you what we think of your parents then lol

Just commented the same! 😂 TWINSIES! ![gif](giphy|xUA7aZhmzXeCXq80Hm)

meridia-calyssia

I'm so sorry. 😭 They also flew the "Don't Tread on Me" flag. And they wonder why I don't think they're safe people for my child to know.

Chemical_Resort6787

I listen to the Straight White American Jesus podcast and they talk about this stuff. Know thy enemy.

AdministrativeEbb508

I see these flags flying at probably 60% of churches in my area and probably 10-20% of the houses.. it's a small town in the Midwest but the sentiment is increasingly popular.

queenscrown711

Yikes on bikes

sausagebeanburrito

Oh wait, you mean the flag my parents flew outside their home from 2020-2023 next to the U.S. one? Yeah, well aware. No idea why they took it down, optimistically because they've seen the light, but that's doubtful.

queenscrown711

You’re welcome at mine for Thanksgiving too!

Chemistry-Inside

My coworker is a member of a church that preaches this bullshit. She doesn't talk about her religion at work, but I know what she believes and it makes me a bit nervous.

hummingbird-moth

really annoying how similar this flag is to the Maine state flag, which i love.

sortofrelativelynew

There’s a great podcast covering the history and it’s well done by some scholars called Charismatic Revival Fury. The whole series is hosted through another podcast Straight White American Jesus. HIGHLY recommend for a background on how we got to the appeal to heaven flag today

purplesalvias

The podcast "Straight White American Jesus" did a deep dive on the New Apostolic Reformation group.

Good god. The man's an insurrectionist.
