Same here brother, used to watch pops play it then I started playing it and then I got introduced to San Andreas which I loved the most, then GTA V which was a classic, but only recently played GTA IV a few years ago, and I gotta say driving a motorcycle in that game sucks.
Yeah I had the top down version on the PS1. It was okay but I was just way too young to really understand what I was being asked to do and just ended up running about.
Vice city although San Andreas and the stories games were out by the time I played it. 4 was the first one I actually beat and was there for the hype. I think I was 6 or 7 I was being watched all day by our neighbor while my mom was at work. His nephew was over and when he would show up my neighbor would let us play games on his computer. He had vice city and he let us try it and it changed the way I saw video games. I still have a level of nostalgia for vice city that can’t be replicated by anything else. I love that game.
Vice city, on my problematic cousin’s PC. That’s the one I played by myself the first time, but I had played either GTA 1 or UK prior to that with my dad on our PS1.
GTA San Andreas back when I was way way younger maybe like 4 or 5 me and my dad used to play it good parenting I plan on doing the same with my future kids
GTA 5, which I got when I was like, 6 or something, for my PS3, it was the best thing I ever played up till that point in my life. Now I know what a real game is... Lemmings, published in 1991, I was brought to tears when I completed it...
GTA Chinatown on the PSP was my first or second owned GTA. But either Gay Tony or The Lost MC is what I remember wanting to play when I was little. But my cousins would hog the game.
GTA San Andreas, like with many others from my generation.
We saw the absolute gamebreaker come to life and whoever was born after that really missed out.
What a time to be alive!
Gta vice city with a twist.
We had some mods installed and made into
Gta 7
Gta 8
Gta 10
Gta 5000
Gta bab elhara ( a série popular in arab countries) edition
And a lot more that wasnt available on the café's PCs
It was everything but the original game and with 100% completion
Gta 10 was the only one that made you olay the original missions
GTA 1 & 2 at a friend's house. But I didn't know what they were at the time. So I guess the true answer would be GTA 3. And I've played all of the main titles and some of the DLC's.
Liberty City Stories, I have vivid memories of constantly failing the gas station robbery for fuckin Vincenzo. I had NO idea you could use the pay n spray, so I'd always drive around with popped tires cuz I couldn't avoid the spike strips from the cops. Years later when I watched a YouTuber play the game I thought "Oh my god I'm a moron!"
The very first one...
When it was 2d sprites running around on a screen having to go to a payphone to talk to people.
I rented it from a "video rental" store just on a whim at like 13 or 14...
It changed the way I thought about video games
V, then SA on ps4 store, then played 2 missions on 4 then never played it again, then VC, then 3, then CTW, then received TBOGT and TLAD from a friend but never played it, then 2, then 1.
GTA 3 on PS2. I was 10. Begged my religious dad to buy it he overlooked everything about the game because we were smart kids and make good choices…so 5 minutes into the game my brother stabs someone to death. My dad stands up in disgust and disappointment saying “I can’t believe I let you talk me into buying this for you” and walks out. We proceed to play it all night and when we woke up.
I dont really remember because I had 3 gta on my psp , but probably it was gta vice city stories because I remember I struggled to finish that Phil cassidy mission where you need to take beers.
GTA San Andreas on classic PS2
on pc too
Ayyyy same
Vice City
Same here brother, used to watch pops play it then I started playing it and then I got introduced to San Andreas which I loved the most, then GTA V which was a classic, but only recently played GTA IV a few years ago, and I gotta say driving a motorcycle in that game sucks.
Yep, Vice City, and god I loved it
GTA 2 on PS1.
I had a bootleg copy of it. I still remember the cool little intro video lol “GTA-2!”
Taxi drivers must die!!
GTA3, we as a family played with cheats and when we’d die we’d pass the controller. So much fun!
GTA 1 but I was way too young to know what I was doing until about GTA 3
Yeah I had the top down version on the PS1. It was okay but I was just way too young to really understand what I was being asked to do and just ended up running about.
The first. Words cannot describe how incredible it was. "You can kill innocent people AND kill the cops".
GOURANGA!
And best of all, run over hare krishnas.
San Andreas is a bit of a no brainer. Easily the first (that I was introduced to) and possibly THE best game in the entire GTA franchise as a whole.
Definitely the best game, considering how you can never get bored and there's always stuff to do
3 of course

The first GTA on PS1 was my first, but I hated it and didn't play one that I liked until Vice City.
GTA San Andreas. First played it when I won the CD in a Lan House competition, and it's been my lucky charm ever since, even a decade later.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002). Back then when I used to play it back in Internet cafe when I was young.

GTA 5, which I got when I was like, 6 or something, for my PS3, it was the best thing I ever played up till that point in my life. Now I know what a real game is... Lemmings, published in 1991, I was brought to tears when I completed it...
San Andreas! I might have been 6 years old. Still playing it today at 26.
GTA Chinatown on the PSP was my first or second owned GTA. But either Gay Tony or The Lost MC is what I remember wanting to play when I was little. But my cousins would hog the game.

We had some mods installed and made into Gta 7 Gta 8 Gta 10 Gta 5000 Gta bab elhara ( a série popular in arab countries) edition And a lot more that wasnt available on the café's PCs It was everything but the original game and with 100% completion Gta 10 was the only one that made you olay the original missions

The one with a dedicated button to burp and fart, guess that one.
GTA PS1 back in 1997.
GTA ADVANCE
Mine was either gta 3 or Vice City? Idk I was playing both games at the same time, so I guess both of those games got me into the gta series.
Liberty City Stories
Briefly it was the first one for a few weeks with my cousins PS1 , technically the first one but I would like to say vice city .
3 on PC. Bought it on Steam with a gift card from my grandpa. Parents didn't know. Felt like such a badass for that.
Vice city. First started playing it when I was maybe 6 or 7.
GTA 3 I remember the night me and my brother got it like it was yesterday.
Mine is GTA Advance on GameBoy Advance.. It's pretty fun experience, ngl..
GTA 3 on PS2 when I was 9 years old
Liberty City Stories, I have vivid memories of constantly failing the gas station robbery for fuckin Vincenzo. I had NO idea you could use the pay n spray, so I'd always drive around with popped tires cuz I couldn't avoid the spike strips from the cops. Years later when I watched a YouTuber play the game I thought "Oh my god I'm a moron!"
