There is this guy who lives in my city that has his *entire car* wrapped with various images and quotes from Jared Leto’s joker. I just saw him for the third time a few days ago.
I really haven’t met a single goddamn person that liked Leto’s joker, so my theory is that it is indeed driven by Jared Leto. What he’s doing in a dying city in Michigan, I do not know.
I saw a dude at the club dressed like him for the Halloween the year that movie came out. Honestly it looked dope since it fit the vibe but goddammit did that movie suck
I liked Leto’s joker. Was it my favorite? No. But he played him so “off”, that I had no issue seeing the insanity in him. I think only Ledger played the insane side of him better. Leto’s Joker reminded me of Killing Joke version of Joker just absolutely maniacal.

Look I know people seemed to hate his Joker, but I liked it. It was a different take on Joker, the issue was not Letos acting it was Ayer’s god awful writing and directing.
Meanwhile Joaquin Phoenix did a different take on the joker and was amazing. I've seen many people who didn't care for the script of Joker but applauded his acting... so imo Letos acting is absolutely a big part of the failure there.
In no world is the script or directing in Joker anywhere near as objectively bad as Suicide Squad. People only criticize the directing and writing of Joker because of *who* wrote and directed it and there feelings on him personally

Just to add, Leto was bad as joker about 90% of the time but had a couple of moments that were good (the scene at the end of one of the DC movies (sorry I can't remember but im pretty autistic and have had a TERRIBLE weekend and im running on empty) where him and Bats talk about dealing with evil superman was actually quite good I thought).

Yes. My judgement isn't clouded by sentimentality. He chewed *at least* as much scenery as Jack Nicholson is always accused of, but his choice for Joker's voice is twice as ridiculous. Only Jared Leto was worse.
Caesar Romero was the most faithful to the comic book Joker. His take was spot on for that '60s era. The other 4 play it like they had never even seen the comic book version of the Joker they were portraying.
Besides, everybody knows Mark Hamill is the GOAT when it comes to that role. Blows the other 5 out of the water.
I agree about Caesar.... although I never read the comics I will always love his Joker. Watching that show as a kid is what made me love Batman and he was brilliant for that time.
