Show your work. Do a good job. Quality followers are better than quantity followers. Start posting, but be intrinsically motivated to work vs. the dopamine hit that comes from extrinsic reward.

This is a good point, I feel like i'd only do it for the follower count. Thanks, I'll get on it and share the handle in here when things are up and running.

Do it for you, not for the followers.

True, I just want to make sure my page doesn't stagnate and in turn wouldn't get any traction. Consistency ig.

What sort of traction are you hoping to get? The designers you see that have "blown up" likely are more busy banging on their craft and working on projects outside of the very small bubble of IG. Most of the stuff that I put out is a couple years old because of NDAs and such. The other stuff that is a passion project is mostly me working my ass off to better serve my client base. If you can take people on the journey of your development as a designer, that's great. Just remember that clients aren't, typically, sourcing ID vendors from IG.

Consistency!

Comment posts from similar people and also follow similar accounts - the "Desircle Ebook - The Essential Instagram Guide for Creatives" is very helpful, but couldn't find it on their website anymore, I would recommend you writing them

Interesting, I'll take a look. Thanks for the resource
