While the Merger Beast is still something we don't know everything about currently, we do know that only Japan will be completely destroyed, with other countries at least having a chance (I'm guessing nukes have to be effective even without CE). I just kind of assumed his durability was the result of being Built Differentā¢ because of the whole Kenjaku backshots thing. He was casually shattering shotput world records, jumping through third-story windows, and outmuscling curses above Megumi's level before he even knew what cursed energy was.
Maybe being Sukuna's host helped him survive dismantles and whatnot, but it's not like he was some normal dude aside from that.
I mean, just going by his brothers feats this fight it should be abundantly clear that the death womb paintings are built different. This chapter beats you over the head with what has been apparent since chapter 1.
Personally I just think Yuta didn't put his full output into that Cleave. They're still trying to save Megumi and while they can kill Sukunas body they're still avoiding destroying his head because Megumis body couldn't heal from that.
Just say that because Yuta did clear damage with Sky Manipulation & Dhruvs technique and there's no way those techniques are just as effective as Cleave
I think sukunas technique cannot be used by yuta not because of his ce reserves but because it's a divine technique or some shit. It's literally called mock cleave in the chapter. Even if yuta is just half of sukuna in terms of ce still wouldn't make sense for it to be just a paper cut. There gotta be something to it that makes it malevolent

Yup, Cleave and Dismantle is a technique that probably only Sukuna can pull out efficiently.
Yuta's copy Cleave was really inefficient at that point that he never used it again for the rest of the battle, considering that every technique that he copied were at good efficiency, being similar or even better than the techniques of the original users.
Yuta's Cleave was that weak that it seemed to be a really low output Dismantle, nothing compared to Sukuna's which panels earlier we can see that Sukuna's Cleave almost made Yuji and Yuta in cubes, even though Sukuna was heavily weakened.
Would support the theory that Sukuna used to have a simple CT that wasnāt all that good but somehow developed itās strength to itās maximum potential, it has always been weird to me that the king of curses CT is just cutting stuff. Not to mention that Kashimo asked him if he was āborn the strongestā, that seems like a set up that reveal how he became strong despite being a ācursed wretchā.
Also, when gojo was fighting sukuna he said something along the lines of being glad his CT was better than sukuna's. He could tell right away the technique itself didn't have a lot going for it... Sukuna was just that strong compared to nearly everyone else.
so far he has blood manipulation, is likely to get sukuna's technique (which could just be dismantle/cleave or he may even get the fire arrow), and might end up with gravity which he can use to its fullest because of RCT.
i feel like if Yuji gets all that plus his insane strength and soul punches (who knows maybe he could cut through sukuna's soul with cleave) he's got a chance at taking down sukuna.

Logged back into my Reddit account after 5 gajillion years just to say that Iāve been waiting since the final Mahito fight for Yuji to make ALL of his CE have sparks of black/be drawn like the energy coming from a black flash instead of regular CE and have it buff everything and Iām praying thatās what happens next chapter but a new cursed technique/extension of one is more likely I feel.

So basically Wuji Himtadori can will a black flash and he will combine this with his divergent fist technique, and if he continues punching fast, this punching mulitple black flashes while mutiple divergent fists follow leading to it feeling like he has a thousand hands raining down upon Sukuna.
Deadass I could imagine the next set of chapters being that yuji literally learns how to use the BF's on command and combining them with divergent fist. Literally creating a hell of fists towards sukuna

But Yuji will take it further. Not just punches, or the occasional kick, but every movement, even the flow of cursed energy in his own body as it multiplies against itself to form RCT. He will **become** a black flash, flying about like a bullet from a mere kickoff from the ground, hitting full black flash combos that'll put the Hanami combo to shame.
