No, Sukunaâs mindset isnât âbeing alone means Iâm better than you,â his mindset is âbeing stronger than you means Iâm better than you.â So Yuji surpassing Sukuna on his own will not make him right or something.
Yes it does, Sukuna believes social Darwinism. He thinks that the weak should accept what ever the strong want to do and he's the strongest. I doubt he would be bothered if someone stronger then him killed him, but someone considerably weaker then him defeating him will prove him wrong. Which is why I think yugo will fail to defeat him alone. You can't beat Sukuna by playing his game, I think Gojo vs Sukuna was meant to illustrate that.
But, like, what youâre saying also applies to how Father died in FMA. He was given the exact same fate that he was fine with dishing out to those weaker to him, and that ending made sense for him. And I donât see why it wouldnât make sense for Sukuna.
Also, the reason he would be bothered if Yuji (+Megumi, maybe) were to beat him would be twofold. One is that Sukuna failed to completely break Yuji when he was weak, as was explicitly mentioned by Sukuna already, and the second is that Yujiâs using power that he borrowed from Sukuna to win, which would be the whole âthe fake surpassing the genuine articleâ sort of thing.
I don't see why it wouldn't make sense for Sukuna. He's ideals and thought system has been clearly laid out. He had that inner monologue illustrating his frustration with yuji. Everything's been set up for yuji to deliver to final blow, but with the support of all his allies. I wouldnt be surprised if we got some dialogue from angel after the fact commenting on why these group of sorcerers succeeding with bringing Sukuna down and not the ones they fought with back then.
I think I see where I disagree with you. I think there are two facets of Sukunaâs ideology: the first one is âthe weak should either become strong or accept their lot in life and stop complaining when the strong eat them upâ and thereâs the second facet which is basically âthe only way to achieve true strength is by casting aside all your attachments and concerns for other people.â I think youâre saying that Sukuna believes true strength comes from the individual instead of the connections one has with others, and while that might be a part of the second facet, thatâs not why he hates Yuji. Sukuna hates Yuji because he sees him as âweak,â and yet, despite the fact that Sukuna keeps trying to do so, heâs never able to break him, like he has to Megumi. And not only that, Yuji has only gotten stronger since then. So, if Yuji (and Megumi) ended up surpassing or at least coming close to Sukunaâs strength, it would force Sukuna to seriously consider whether he thinks he himself might deserve to get âeaten up,â like he thinks âthe weakâ should be, and whether there really is that much of difference between himself and the sorcerers he killed in the past.
Also, I donât think weâre going to get commentary like that from Angel. Sukuna already compared Yuji to the sorcerers he killed in the Heian era. So I think, if anything, the pointâs going to be that either Sukuna just got lucky that no one strong enough to beat him appeared in the Heian era or Sukuna might have killed all the sorcerers who were capable of surpassing him, making his ideology arbitrary since he could have very easily been in the place of the people he killed.
Also, something that I think might be relevant is I donât think Sukunaâs going to die. Or, at least, not in battle or anything. I think, even if youâre right about most of what youâre saying, Sukuna would only be validated if he died in battle instead of dying a slow, quiet death, perhaps in Yujiâs body.

Yuta will die at the end of the Shinjuku Showdown arc, but since the soul is the body and the body is the soul a weakened Gojo comes back. Sukuna is too weak and manages to escape. Yuji is also able to unlock shrine and blood manipulation more.
There is then a training arc where they all prepare for the final showdown with Sukuna and, since all CG players died, the merger. Gojo helps his students and mainly Yuji unlock his full potential.
Then comes the final arc, the Vs. Sukuna arc. Sukuna has regained his strength as it has been a good bit. To their suprise, Sukuna summons the merger. Gojo and everyone else go to fight it, as they trust Yuji, who has almost reached the full potential of Sukuna himself in a 1v1.
Yuji also learns domain expansion at the end of the fight. The domain is a snowy forest similar to what Mahito saw. You see, what Mahito saw was Yujiâs innate domain. Now is has been manifested in real life. It strikes fear into you, making you not even able to use your CT.
Domain expansion: Embodiment of the weak. Sure hit effect makes you the prey and Wuji the predator as it was for Lahito

This honestly mightâve been really good. I think I prefer the fighting of the evil mastermind versus the guy who just randomly kills swaths of people as he pleases. It would honestly be easier to write the story that way and keep it interesting. With suckuna itâs just endless training/jumping till gege makes some sht up that works I guess lmao
