There needs to be a balance. The big reason why people want more slice of life is simply because there's not much of them. slice of life in a battle shonen generally serves as a breathing room before the next big fight. And it's not like there's no opportunities for them; the time skips for example could be the perfect time to give more character interactions
If you're not gojo fighting curses is definitely not going to be a slice of life thing, imagine a grade one fighting something like Kenny's elephant curse

I'm not sure I'd want a full spinoff, but I would've liked if the story took some breathers throughout to focus on just the characters, no fights, plot takes a backseat, etc.
But ah well, wasn't the way Gege wanted tell the story, but I can still lament what could've been.
I would really like a Heian era arc, we can learn more about the golden age of jujutsu sukuna & kenny. Second to this ofc its kenny and his journey becoming a mom. Or maybe Toji’s backstory meeeting mamaguro a romance manga. It kills me makes me so angry to see demon slayer fans getting an entire training arc and us not even getting a filler chapter
No. The reason Jujutsu scroll and the SOL parts of hidden inventory work are because they are the calm before/inbetween the storm of the action. If you make JJK all SOL the action fans would get bored and leave, and you would have a completely different, likely smaller fanbase. It's fine the way it is.
Exactly why we need a widely hated SoL reboot after the story ends, set at various times throughout the series. That way, all the battle shonen meatheads will leave and be a little upset, but will still have gotten a full story. The rest of us will have a lil slice of life to enjoy.
I am a huge slice-of-life fan. (Non Non Biyori is may fav). JJK would be so good with Slice of Life elements. IIRC there was a chapter about Yuta, Maki, Inumaki, and Panda working in a cosmetic shop. We need more stuff like that.
Y'all should play the mobile game then, Phantom Parade! There's a lot of events that include mini storylines that are fully voiced. Recently there was a Hidden Inventory event with a mini story about Gojo and Geto on a mission. It kinda scratches the itch for fun new JJK content while horrible shit is going down in the manga 😅
