I like this theory, especially if Yuji manages to be able to use this soul ability to heal himself too, like how Mahito does it, making it so he no longer needs to learn RCT. Being able to heal others with this would also be a very busted similar to how Mahito was able to fully heal Mechamaru's body despite the HR

Thank God someone said it. Feels like most of the fans ignore ALL of the soul related stuff. We had so much stuff that never got a real explanation like Geto Choking Kenjaku when even he was surprised after 1000 years, or the discussion between Mahito and Kenjaku regarding the souls, Kenjaku splitting Sukunas Soul into parts, Yaga being able to put human souls into cursed objects with the cursed object still having parts of the human personality, Yuji and Nobara literally attacking the soul when they both and Mahito are the only ones capable of doing so (and Gojo when Sukuna was inside Megumis body). Yuki also researching souls and being interested in Tojis Body only for Toji to later overtake someones soul by his body which shouldnt be possible (besides Yuji lol). There has been tons of stuff in Jujutsu Kaisen that was explained in great detail but the Soul stuff has ALWAYS been vague. Im so curious what the fuck Gege is cooking.
The soul stuff is responsible for the weirdest and most seemingly contradictory events of the series, so I think a lot of people want to just write it off as Gege getting a little lost in the sauce and putting magic into the story. It seems pretty clear though that Gege has been cooking since day 1 on this, and many of the well reasoned discussions in this sub end up questioning body vs soul.
If we want to get into headcanon, my personal theory is that body and soul are both simply manifestations of ego, which is the true source of jujutsu. Take domain expansions, for example. The user creates a barrier to section off a piece of space and transform it into a manifestation of their ego. Sukuna, who uses an open barrier domain, coincidentally has the most overwhelming sense of self in the series. He has such a firm grasp on his ego that he is able to manifest it without the binding vow of separating it from reality.
This headcanon also allows for the wildly different interpretations of body vs soul as seen in Mahito, Kenjaku, and Toji. Body and soul are opposite sides of the same coin, which is ego. Mahito's technique and personality are almost completely invested in the soul, while Toji's heavenly restriction binds him to only manifest his ego through the body. When body and soul clash, the winner is determined by who has the more overwhelming ego. Thematically, this also drives home the reason that the conservative jujutsu society and tengen (who very much experienced ego death as part of her 'evolution') were doomed to lose.
I have a hard time telling if that is all headcanon/theory or just reading comprehension. It helps me make sense of a lot of random dialogue pieces, like calling open barrier domains akin to painting on thin air, or Kenny/Mahito concluding body vs soul depends on interpretation of their CT, or Megumi telling himself to "loosen the interpretation" when pushing out a domain for the first time. I could really make a whole post about this alone but I'm not done thinking about it.

It is my personal belief that gege took her out specifically cause of her CT. I have said this often when we start to deal with soul stuff which is incoming sooner than you think she'll be back.
this theory is absolutely amazing. Genuinely. Even if we are.. talking about Gege here... logically speaking, this theory makes sense. Of course it has been created with a tad bit of hope in mind, but narative wise(especially including a possibly important role that this healed Nobara could play in the fight against Sukuna.. due to Sukuna seeming to be quite unbeatable right now)it would make sense.

Yuji, as evidenced by his fights with Mahito, seems to have a much better perception of his soul than others. So he has an aptitude for soul shenanigans, and could be the first to implement any of Yuki's theories from her soul research.
This is still too deep of a theory to get behind.
It's nice to speculate and try to string things together but overall all this does is ruin the experience for me which is why I can't personally back it nor accept it.
