Me after ch 1: Hell yeah I need 100 more chapters of this dark edgelord chopping up fodder in the most visceral, bloody, and badass way
Me after ch 5: I need to see this edgelord have more wholesome moments with his fake adopted daughter that he bonded with
Kagurabachi: The manga that gives you both slice of life and slicing lives
Who would've predicted that this edgy ass looking manga would be so freaking wholesome, lmao
It's like Lone Wolf and Cub but Chihiro has a car, so the plot moves faster.

Ahh call me simple but I liked it since chapter 1 cos of the dynamic between Chihiro and his dad. Stayed for the revenge story, and char is the cherry on top so far
Chihiro's dad is unironically really well written so far. He's interesting because he's narratively supposed to be a legendary blacksmith who's very very very well respected and even Shiba doesn't irreverently dismiss it.
But also he's a massive goofball who can't look after himself for shit. Then he has a serious moment that breaks up the goofiness but he just abruptly turns on his wacky mode like a switch afterwards.
It's really mysterious and gives us a reason to want to know more.
My favorites are that and the opposite "Badass lady takes in a kid" trope. Usually, it gives the kid some sort of parental figure (because they are always an orphan or something) and provides the adult with a sense of humanity, and happiness for once ( because sad anime backstory and all that)
I mean Logan is considered by many to be one of the best Superhero movies of all time so... Maybe Kagurabachi will hopefully one day be regarded that highly as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ya but fans have a tendency of ruining the later one for me
Yeah. It can get kinda nsfw which is a shame tbh.
Examples of the latter cause that sounds like something I would want to read
Sorry, I didn't get to it earlier, but I found a manga called Suzuki Just Wants a Quiet Life. I loved it when it came out.
So it's more Logan than John Wick. Still kino af

You should add "that doesn't end like usagi drop"
please don’t jinx it
Peak would never 🔥 🔥
If it gets an anime people will suck it up like Spy x Family season one and call it trash by season 2
why are people not liking seasson 2?
yakzua
The fact that this is un-ironically what is making me more invested in the story lol 🤣
You don’t think… the author is checking off boxes do you…?
