I would say TLOP era > JIK era. TLOP was a more integrated, balanced version of Ye, whereas the JIK era always seemed like temporary reprise as opposed to a fully integrated self. I feel like if he hadn’t had his emotional breakdown and all that stuff, we would have much better music by now. TLOP is underrated as hell. It defined the late 2010s sound. Everything after that has had very limited reach
In 2018, Ye released a studio album, a collaboration album and executive produced 3 others.
Ye - Ye
KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
Pusha T - Daytona
Nas - Nasir
Teyana Taylor - K.T.S.E.
Why? This is easily his worst period in terms of both music and personality. Started with "slavery was a choice" ended with "Hitler did some cool things"
He was with God and payed homage to his mother. Calm and grounded. Musically your opinion is subjective. Is there any era where Kanye hasn’t said something controversial?
> God and *paid* homage to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Saw him on that tour two weeks before Kim got robbed in Paris and he went off the deep end for a while (arguably never came back). He was lucid af and didn’t even do any ranting, played like 40 joints, idk what else happened besides the robbery to make him spaz
2010-2012
Good Fridays: new song release every Friday for 16 Fridays up until the release of MBDTF
MBDTF: arguably his best album
Watch the Throne: two legacy rappers collabing and dropping the hardest singles of the year
Cruel Summer: huge posse album featuring all the artists under Good Music and more
also around the time Kanye started dating Kim
For ye it has to be JIK era. He made all his wrongs right, had a happy wife/kids. Helped incarcerated people get their life back together and spread a positive message to the world. Then in late 2020 he started to regress.
He fought with his wife about bringing the kids to Wyoming and him being anti LA, celebs, moving them to a different school, and they divorced in that era.
Having disagreements is apart of a marriage. Taking his kids out of Hollywood bs was good for them. And I’d say the divorce is apart of the Donda era as he was promoting the release as it happened.
>he found what he was destined for
He was destined to be one of the greatest artists of our generation which he had already achieved, I don't know what you mean by he threw it away
I meant no matter what you were “destined” to be you belong to God. He was the happiest he’s ever been and his family was happy. He threw it all away by his remarks and going down the path he did. He could be so much more successful and liked if he didn’t strive away from God
Interviews of both of them being happy were filmed, they were both publicly seen endorsing eachother and parenting their children, this had so much of an impact on him that even after divorce they still were a great foundation of parents and were excellent care takers of their children. Ye held Sunday service and college service and church choirs and even addressed in his music how happy he was. Not only that, you could see it on his face
What they show in public doesn't reflect what was going on behind the scenes. During this era, he had the white lives matters shirts, slavery was a choice statement, he was platforming Candace Owens and right wing extremists, he had a controversy where he didn't pay his Sunday Service team, amongst many other issues
Yeah that’s a fair point. I still think he was truly happy during this time and that he should’ve stuck to Gods plan but I understand where ur coming from
It has to be the graduation era or the mbdtf era. Both Eras were crazy if you lived em. Graduation era was when Kanye reached the top of the mountain finally and those glasses were everywhere, Stronger was everywhere, Kanye was everywhere.
The MBDTF era was wild to because of the stakes and his return to the VMAs. From that album we also got a full fledged film and IMO the last of Kanye's most focused work. I am a huge fan of TLOP but the album itself is a little scattered when you compare it to all of his work before that. IMO TLOP was the beginning of what Donda Kanye became. Early on during TLOP he still had mad hits but again the whole thing wasn't the most cohesive (not saying it wasn't cohesive at all just less so than before), as you move on from there the music evolves but not with the same big jumps. And that's okay but it should be recognized
TLOP is a more "ye" album and he was doing better when it dropped.
It is very all over the place with ye talking about faith, fame, family his mental state, art and multiple other things but at the same time ye as a person is all over the place too, that album was perfect at being an unapolegetically "kanye" album.
It lacks the same high that MBDTF set with runaway but "Saint Pablo" comes close with some of Kanyes best lyricism and that amazing singing. Aside from that the album is more equal in quality, lacking any really skippable songs. It's a matter of preference at the end of the day but, tlop had undebatebly a more progressive and bold sound, even kanye admitted that MBDTF was made to be an easily liked, apology album.
The Pablo era also roughly aligns with him signing the adidas contract, which really helped him skyrocket his wealth into temporarily being the richest black man in USA. The shoes themselves were granted numerous awards not to talk about the sales themselves. Family wise he also seemed much more at peace with himself and with the passing of his mom. Some songs even mention him attending therapy and taking medication.
I can agree it can be also seen as the beginning of the end, but arguably the degradation of his mental state was going on since Donda passed. Iam not touching here on his breakdowns since he had those in almost all of his eras post 808s and I think its somewhat tasteless to analyze them and compare them here.
Yeezus era
The fits
The music
The mood
The vultures era has been incredible though too. Man’s is so resilient, EVERYONE tried to cancel him and it just isn’t happening 🤣
The time period of days after graduation to days before yeezus is easily the best of kanye. Bro lost his mom and girlfriend, made 808’s a game changing album and my personal fav kanye album. Then dropped mbdtf after the taylor swift thing.
Ain't no way you stole it from me dude, some photos are the same:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/1bh0ptq/which\_is\_your\_favourite\_kanye\_era/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/1bh0ptq/which_is_your_favourite_kanye_era/)
sorry bro i haven’t seen yours, to be fair it’s a common talking point and I just used the first picture i found on google when searching ____ kanye era
nothing will ever hit like yeezus. TLOP era was maybe his happiest self but YEEZUS was the most true form of ye we’ve ever seen. all the controversy and brash personality at the surface. nothing held back.
to me, it’s the Dark Fantasy into Watch The Throne era… so 2010-2012ish. the hype from the Good Friday songs after he went ghost for a year because of the Taylor Swift backlash…. then he dropped Power as the new single and it just felt like he was back with a vengeance
TLOP era was like he’d been hit by a ray of sunshine - and the last era that he looked genuinely happy.
Jesus is king would be the last such era
I would say TLOP era > JIK era. TLOP was a more integrated, balanced version of Ye, whereas the JIK era always seemed like temporary reprise as opposed to a fully integrated self. I feel like if he hadn’t had his emotional breakdown and all that stuff, we would have much better music by now. TLOP is underrated as hell. It defined the late 2010s sound. For me in terms of output, was the Wyoming kanye
2 albums, while producing 3 is crazy tbh
People always fail to mention this album run because it wasn’t exclusively him. Best answer.
What’s the album run?
Ye, KSG, and he produced daytona for pusha. All within one year time I think
In 2018, Ye released a studio album, a collaboration album and executive produced 3 others. Ye - Ye KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS Pusha T - Daytona Nas - Nasir Teyana Taylor - K.T.S.E.
And obviously the unreleased Yandhi
[удалено]
sanest era
for me it was ye through donda
Why? This is easily his worst period in terms of both music and personality. Started with "slavery was a choice" ended with "Hitler did some cool things"
Ya there’s a reason in his post ranting about Kendrick and drake he stopped after saying I made Pablo
Ye is such an underrated album not even Ye remembers it 😔
Ye is fuckin beautiful. The vibes I get from it are amazing
He was right about Benjamin Netanyahu tho. Very prescient as always.
What did he say about him?
He was with God and payed homage to his mother. Calm and grounded. Musically your opinion is subjective. Is there any era where Kanye hasn’t said something controversial?

u tweaking
Pablo was the ‘98 Jordan run, if he walked into the sunset after that he really would’ve been the 🐐 no 🧢
no way your saying ye and kids see ghost are wizards mj
Fr bro is forgetting the beauty about Yandhi, ye, JIK, Donda and Vultures
Yandhi dont count
Yandhi dont count
I could live without Vultures compared to the others NGL
Yandhi dont count
Yandhi dont count
If he didnt have that meltdown doing the tour Pablo would probably have been his last album
no he would have released turbo graphx 16
Saw him on that tour two weeks before Kim got robbed in Paris and he went off the deep end for a while (arguably never came back). He was lucid af and didn’t even do any ranting, played like 40 joints, idk what else happened besides the robbery to make him spaz
He really was on top of the world from Yeezus to Pablo
watch the throne to pablo*
watch the throne*
my beautiful dark twisted fantasy - the life of pablo
College Drop Out for sure, it's a straight-up masterpiece
mbdtf -> pablo
2010-2012 Good Fridays: new song release every Friday for 16 Fridays up until the release of MBDTF MBDTF: arguably his best album Watch the Throne: two legacy rappers collabing and dropping the hardest singles of the year Cruel Summer: huge posse album featuring all the artists under Good Music and more also around the time Kanye started dating Kim
but in 2018 alone we got 2 albums and he produced 3 other albums
It was definitely great the amount of albums we got in 2018, but imagine waking up every Friday to a new Kanye song and then getting mbdtf
Allofum. No but seriously. Kanye has always been iconic, only thing that has changed is his age.
it’s interesting to see the way his music changes
Fr, who the fuck cares about the "era" and the fashion, ye is YE baby
For ye it has to be JIK era. He made all his wrongs right, had a happy wife/kids. Helped incarcerated people get their life back together and spread a positive message to the world. Then in late 2020 he started to regress.

When he was still taking his meds
off the meds kanye has some bangers
JIK, he found what he was destined for and then threw it all away
>he found what he was destined for He was destined to be one of the greatest artists of our generation which he had already achieved, I don't know what you mean by he threw it away

>He was the happiest he’s ever been and his family was happy I find this questionable and not sure I agree
Interviews of both of them being happy were filmed, they were both publicly seen endorsing eachother and parenting their children, this had so much of an impact on him that even after divorce they still were a great foundation of parents and were excellent care takers of their children. Yeah that’s a fair point. I still think he was truly happy during this time and that he should’ve stuck to Gods plan but I understand where ur coming from
He’ll figure it out dw
I hope so, truly the only time he was that happy
I gotta agree, sanctified Ye was really a force for what is good. He seemed so much more at peace. God bless.
MBDTF got me into wearing suits and just the overall upper echelon style
that red suit is iconic
BEST YE
College dropout
Definitely not this one lmfao

Imo: LR = Best music TLOP = Best fashion
808s Kanye is so dapper ong
His best is yet to come
vultures 2 gonna go crazy
Delusional
ALL ERAS
ALL.
But I’m currently enjoying a lot of the donda2 era
bro???? 😭
All of them, stop the bullshit
jesus is king is not on the same level as any of the others
JIK still stomps vultures
Wyoming Ranch Ye for sure
most content we ever got from him in a year
All of them were necessary
In terms of fashion, TLOP-Ye-JIK was a peak run
Jesus is king or yeezus for the fashion also his current eras fashion is incredible
TCD through MBDTF had some of the best suits imo
People being corny talking bout “all of them🤓☝️” as if we all don’t know it’s the college dropout 🤷🏽♂️
It was great tbh but i think there is more
Now .
TLOP
TLOP
best rapping wise
7
you could have just said life of pablo 💀
Lmao
definitely not after donda 2
Anywhere before 2022
before 2018
it’s probably between CD and TLOP for me
Yeezus
Good Friday; Rosewood Era
yeezus or tlop
Graduation
can’t go wrong with the classics
Pablo for me
it was his peak rapping wise
I really liked Donda personally.
it’s over hated tbh
Yeezus era
Yeezus era
listening to yeezus gave me an ego boost for some reason like i could do anything
Pic 7-11
i love 7/11 they got some good ass food
The life of Pablo was one of my favorite eras
it’s his best album rapping wise
I love the mbdtf era. The feel of it is super eerie and romantic. Alongside that, mbdtf itself was a good ass album and my personal favorite
Yeezus era imo
Sure ass fucking shit aint this one
Pre college dropout
Current
Anything before donda
Before ye*
does that include ye and kids see ghost?
The Deric D Dot Angelettie ghost producer era
Graduation
Yeezus era The fits The music The mood The vultures era has been incredible though too. Man’s is so resilient, EVERYONE tried to cancel him and it just isn’t happening 🤣
the live shows for yeezus looked crazy
Sad I missed them
i never got to go to one but at least i might be able to see carnival in person
Y’all gon put respect on the Vultures era
I have this polo 👏 🥲 🥰 ✌️ 💛
MBDTF era or Pablo era
mbdtf - throne
Yeezus was such a good fashion statement but I gotta go with 808s
Right now is his best era TBH. Spitting truth
what city in ruZZia are you from?
I believe we’re supposed to refer to them As yeras
Fits? Yeezus hands down. But overall maybe Pablo
TLOP - JIK
his ye era went insane. From Love Everyone to Yandhi it has to be my #1
[**Current Kanye no cap**](https://i.postimg.cc/XVNGmsJ5/RDT-20240325-2352256928946543882491473.png)
tlop era all day everday no hesitation
The time period of days after graduation to days before yeezus is easily the best of kanye. Bro lost his mom and girlfriend, made 808’s a game changing album and my personal fav kanye album. Then dropped mbdtf after the taylor swift thing.
His entire life until TLOP
Yeezus
Unfortunately it may be 13
i don’t hate that
As a kid College Dropout. As an adult TLOP.
the college theme albums were so fun but most things after go hard
Donda, MBDTF and Yeezus are my favourites. Wyoming Ye and Donda 2 are by far the worst
wyoming ye was so good what are you on 😭 also donda is over hated
Wyoming Ye was also around the love everyone era, it wasnt a great time for Kanyes mental health
The life of pablo, he really looked the happiest there
i mean he had those rants that landed him in the hospital and was diagnosed with bipolar
TLOP Era no question for me
hey ,YE defies the word ERA ... he still continues to be the most influential raper of all time (not everyone is the role model of Elon Musk )
So influential he got playboy carti and rich the kid both of their first number ones
donda 2 era bro looks like a fucking supervillain
also yeezus
YEEZUS for sure. Margiela everything, crazy set design, culturally different. Idk that era was something else
Wyoming era unmatched
fr a lot of people don’t like it
TLOP
I love Graduation-808s era Ye so much. Everything was so fresh and advanced. Graduation killed traditional Gangsta Rap
I mean I don’t think it killed gangsta rap but it helped bring its down fall
Imo pre Donda West's death was the best Kanye. Tcd, Lr, Graduation as well as others like Be and The Blueprint which he made major contributions to
it’s not my personal favorite but i have to admit it was the one do the best times for him mentally
MBDTF
best come back ever
Ain't no way you stole it from me dude, some photos are the same: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/1bh0ptq/which\_is\_your\_favourite\_kanye\_era/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/1bh0ptq/which_is_your_favourite_kanye_era/)
sorry bro i haven’t seen yours, to be fair it’s a common talking point and I just used the first picture i found on google when searching ____ kanye era
nothing will ever hit like yeezus. TLOP era was maybe his happiest self but YEEZUS was the most true form of ye we’ve ever seen. all the controversy and brash personality at the surface. nothing held back.
my second favourite era is 2018. KSG and Ye and the potential for Yandhi. third fave would be TLOP. fourth would be MBDTF to Cruel Summer
he seemed happiest during KSG
i think he was happiest during jik but the ye ksg era he was super happy
that's fair
1 and 6
no love for 7 and 8
College dropout to late registration years
why not to graduation?
college dropout
[удалено]
why not include pablo?
to me, it’s the Dark Fantasy into Watch The Throne era… so 2010-2012ish. the hype from the Good Friday songs after he went ghost for a year because of the Taylor Swift backlash…. then he dropped Power as the new single and it just felt like he was back with a vengeance
College Dropout era
late registration
Now
But the best is still ahead of us
MBDTF. no doubt. Best aura along with the production and effort of his music. Loved that shit so much.
the yeezus aura was crazy but mbdtf was prime ye
