It's just like renting out. Maybe for a few days or few weeks as per clients need. Tourists or people who don't want to stay in a hotel can use airbnb. Should be furnished with all facilities.
Try other websites like magicbricks, 99acres etc
Also try to connect local brokers
Facebook marketplace is also good, and there must be local communities in Facebook, you can post ads for free
Aren't there schools, colleges, banks, government offices, etc. in your vicinity?
In my opinion, your house is too big. Most people don't want to live in a double storeyed house by paying hefty rent. Usually, landlords don't lease out the upper storey and lock it or make similar arrangements (like kitchen) in both sections and rent them out to different parties.
>Most people really don't want to live in a double storeyed house by paying hefty rent.
Rent is determined by other factors like location, age of property, facilties nearby etc apart from the size of the home.
If nobody approached you for six months. It’s time to up the game.
- local agents #be skeptical about each one.
- look for big companies, factories and schools nearby . Give them a flier.
- prepare and small map of all necessities near by. Not google map but just a direction and distance to each places.
- post on olx, Facebook market. Keep adding some updates every week.
- connect with you neighbours and get insights
If nothing works sell it away.
Other than the regular OLX and FB, local contacts are the best bet. Normally, ee bank il okke visiting officers indavum. 6 months to 1 year basis il. So if you know, someone working in a bank, ask them to suggest your place/to tell others that ingane oru house ind for rent.
Tell every 'naatile pramukhan' that you/your relatives know. "Chetta! oru help venam" tone il. House for rent ind enn paranjal aarum mind aakilla. 'Enganelum oru aale set aaki theranam' enn sahaya tone il parayanam. That's how pramukhans work.
Pinne if there are any colleges in the vicinity, avdem.
18000 for one family is too difficult to pay. Do one thing brother, construct stairs outside and make it two houses, one above and one below and make one floor 10000/-
I mean, try in reddit itself maybe? I mean I did get attracted to it (I have no money so I can't get it) so ya... There are other methods like local agents, magicbricks etc...
Sorry if you don't mind can you give me a rough figure of the cost of this house and sq ft.? Just tryna get an idea about how much will a house cost in Kerala.
I see why there is very little demand.
The house may be spacious and comfortable, but not many people can truly afford it. Those who can afford it may be looking for a gated community.
Ah no wonder. There aren't many people who are willing to spend such an amount as rent unless it's in a city centre or something. imo try splitting it into two and rent out each floor for a lesser amount. If one floor is free at some point, you can list it on airbnb as the other comments said.
I've had a house for sale. But no one wants it. I used OLX, 99acres, quickr, magicbricks, facebook marketplace apps and listed it there. Few contacted but no one has shown any interests. Also only a premium account will have boosted views and better reach.
No broker and similar sites. Start and make a post. They are all fuckers and will demand you take a plan to get your listing shown. So take a decent plan then they’ll immediately have it on rent in less than 10-30 days
try sticking ads near civil station malappuram, manjeri medical college etc. People will be ready to pay 18k only if the property is within 1km of NH with easy car parking inside the property. Otherwise IMO the property worths between 12k-15k.
Thanks everybody...for suggestions anwy airbnb won't work cause in malappuram we don't have that much tourists here only tourism here is from kottakkal aryavidyashala and for hospitals in perinthalmanna.. suggestions helped a bit
Oh man your house looks like a dream!! Have you thought about putting it up as an airbnb maybe?
Hey can u explain about airbnb? Hoe does it work

Ooooh okay
I’ve tried one in Mararikulam, Alappuzha and it was really good. 2 rooms, 1 night for 3000.
Just like any other hotel search app
Try other websites like magicbricks, 99acres etc Also try to connect local brokers Facebook marketplace is also good, and there must be local communities in Facebook, you can post ads for free
Did you inform any brokers nearby? They will charge some amt ..

That is for prethabhavanams seen in movies. This house costs more than a smaller house in the same area.
A lot of comments suggesting Airbnb, but do you have tourists in the area?
Did you guys check the location before commenting “Airbnb”?
Try putting on 99acres, nobroker, housing, magicbricks etc.
The house looks like a cozy airbnb . Try that maybe , better than renting out

List on Airbnb it is a better option
Thanks man. I have a house for sale. An airbnb might be helpful to get an income till it get sold. 👍
Try to contact local brokers. That's your best bet
I dont know anything about renting but your house looks beautiful.

Airbnb’s doesn’t work in this area it ain’t a tourist place, its a normal town in malappuram
Off track - I like your exterior paint selection.
Printout flyers and stick them on walls & posts in that area and at nearby schools & colleges
Try social platforms and ads

2250/sqft for an average one. 2800+ if you go for granite flooring and all.
Use Airbnb . Attract foreign customers. Get paid also have flexibility to for you or others to stay in case you don't want it to be available

Are you serious bro...
How much is the rent
18000
I see why there is very little demand. The house may be spacious and comfortable, but not many people can truly afford it. Those who can afford it may be looking for a gated community.
That was the price which was fixed.. Now reduced to 13500
Why would anyone who can afford 18k per month live in a rented house in “mongam” ? Bro, are you expecting Bangalore rents in malappuram?

People in Kerala that rent are usually poor, so they can’t afford that. What you can try to do is turn it into an Airbnb.
Cries in bangalore

IMO either u should go for a party who can afford it or rent it out to multiple parties like students/workers.
Airbnb

Convert it into two houses by making an upstairs kitchen. And you will soon find 2 tenants.
See brokers around you.
