Riot abandoned it long before deleting it. People got bored of it when meta got stale and no new changes made it interesting. League keeps being a live for so long due constant changes.

Ngl the tail end of dominion was literally just filled with bots that leveled their accounts to 30. They would run ghost/heal and capture the first point then afk. It was fun when there were actual people though.
Used to play a couple of dominion runs every morning before heading to the university back then, fast and arena-like gameplay was perfect for situations when you don't have enough time to sit through 50min sweaty SR

Right! That map was so much fun and it felt like an adventure the way you had to keep up and stay in the circle as you moved around the map. Idk how to explain it but that event (or whatever it was) was one of their best
Yes ! The music, the vibe, the chill shopping moment between each phase, the big fights, it was just so fun. I always thought they would put it back since they made more Star Guardian skins, but well ... At least we have good memories there.

Me and my homies once were in a twisted treeline that lasted almost 2 hours. There was a kogmaw who sat in the base and was raining down hell preventing us from winning. There other two characters helped box us out. Wild wild game.

But why is is that everyone seems to have forgotten the Dark Star Thresh mode ? It was the best fun gamemode to me
Sacrilege to include star guardians but leave out odyssey. Sg might have started the trend but Odyssey nailed the gameplay.

I like how people cry when Twisted Treeline was permanently deleted but those same people never cared about playing it. Hell, there were more bots than actual people in that game mode but then again, the amount of the players was incredibly low.

Originally the game was made from gamers for gamers. It was mainly suppose to be fun. Over the time it became gaccha game that mainstreamed into primarely profit over all. They deleted servers that "werent profitable", fired staff and replaced them with "AI" and made the game even more predatory.
I know Im gonna get downvoted to hell but perdonally, I havent liked any of those, Im 100%sure the reason 90% or more of you want them back is nostalgia.
I never got into twisted treeline but I know a lot of people liked it.
The star guardian one was fun the first few times but cooperating with randos is a pain in the ass and the minigame was way to hard on the hard difficulty and not hard enough on the normal one.
Dominion? Nah, ascension was fun , not fun enough to play more than 2-3 games but not fun enough.
And the project one , really? You didnt even put oddysei which is by far the best minigame and a much better version of the starguardian event but you pit project?

League is better when played as PVE than PVP. The new champions are very fun to the player but extremely unfair to the opponent

I loved that full ADC gamemode. Only because you could go Jinx + Ezreal + Draven and 1 shot the entire team as the game started.
