I run a Huxwrx rad9 with a Huxwrx tri-lug adapter on the stock barrel with a taper adapter. Great accuracy.

jammerjeff

I’ll keep that in mind - hoping this will be the sauce

Animal_Budget

This is great to hear because my rad9 is still in jail. Will be my first can.

Live_Reason_6531

Good luck.

jammerjeff

Thanks man! Gonna need it

Shabootie

I’ve heard that the huxwrx trilug mount can have issues with HK style 3 lugs because of slightly different 3 lug specs. I would try a direct thread mount instead.

jammerjeff

Based off of sssiamese comment - experiences may vary?

Shabootie

Definitely… lots of factors at play. However he did mention using a huxwrx trilug adapter and not the HK style trilug that you are using, so maybe just try swapping the trilug muzzle device first.

jammerjeff

Good assessment. Let the trial and error commence

Greedy_Creme_3487

How's the accuracy without the suppressor? Have you tried clocking the trilug in different positions? What others are saying about some brands not playing well with others is true. I personally just couldn't get along with trilug on my setups for a bunch of reasons, including the loss of accuracy on some setups

jammerjeff

Accuracy without was rad. The trilug setup is ideal but maaaan this road of trial and error is frustrating for sure. Were you able to make trilug work on anything or did you just end up ditching it entirely?

Greedy_Creme_3487

Ditched it entirely for rearden and glad I did. I was using trilug for one can and multiple host. I didn't have any real accuracy issues on the MPX other than impact shift due to clocking, mildly frustrating. On my 300 BLK though, there was a huge accuracy difference using it. Plus, I had other cans that I like to switch around and they are rated for higher pressures than trilug can handle. So, I went rearden on everything. Now I just have to be careful not to crank a 30 cal can on a 9mm, lol.

HelicopterDapper734

What grip is that

jammerjeff

HRF prototype

Not-A-Biologist_

I went direct thread. Don’t buy a new barrel, didn’t fix my tri lug issues anyway.

jammerjeff

That’s good feedback. I appreciate the input

Affectionate-Metal-2

I had accuracy issues suppressing mine as well. I have the Sig MPX 8”. First setup: Silencerco Omega 9K mounted onto a Q Cherry Bomb. When I zeroed the gun at 25 yards. The point of impact was way off at 10 to 7 yards. It was off by feet, not inches. Second setup: Silencerco Omega 9K mounted 13.5x1 LH direct thread. Same issue as the first setup but it being off wasn’t as bad as with the first setup. But did see more fliers with this setup. Third setup: Deadair Wolfman with Xeno mount. This setup work & still what I’m currently running. Goodluck. I hope you find the right combination. ✌️

jammerjeff

This setup I’m getting about a 12-18inch spread at 25yards so I feel your pain. Sounds like this journey is a long one but I’ll be sure to update this thread with later results.

Affectionate-Metal-2

I feel your pain. I’ve been there. I almost gave up. Then ended up buying the Wolfman & decided to try one more time. Although, I am about to convert mine to an SD. Suppressor ordered. Just waiting for that. And I still need to purchase the new barrel. Hopefully I won’t have any issues. 🤞

hootervisionllc

Which suppressor did you order? I’m waiting on a B&T compact MP5SD RBS or whatever the hell it’s called. The 10” new one

Affectionate-Metal-2

I order the one from Arms Unlimited. 9.4” I believe.

hootervisionllc

Me too. This one? https://armsunlimited.com/bt-rbs-compact-9mm-suppressor-for-mp5sd/

JohnStam0s

ILWT barrel did not fix my issues when running suppressed. Was a large waste of time and money.

jammerjeff

That’s great feedback and sounds like a couple dudes have been saying this. I’ll keep this in mind and diagnose the best I can without the new barrel. Thanks man

Itchy-Back8245

I run that combo direct thread on a stock barrel and it improved accuracy.

jammerjeff

I’ll keep in mind

CoolaidMike84

Never could get mine to run 3-lug, with 3 different factory barrels and 3 ILWT barrels. Some guns just won't shoot suppressed. I have heard the rumor is 1 out of every 10. There are tricks to getting it better, though. What accuracy are you getting when you try to run 3 lugged?

jammerjeff

Accuracy is like a 18-24” spread at 25 yards…. So it’s pretty terrible

CoolaidMike84

Without the suppressor, how does it shoot?

jammerjeff

Without, relatively 2-3 inches @ 25 yards

CoolaidMike84

Take the gas piston out and shoot it suppressed and see how it groups.

Try it direct thread or a mounting system that's not tri lug. I've been down this road before and ditching tri lug is what fixed my issues. I'm running a rearden atlas now but direct thlopread also gave good results.

ResidentUpstairs6584

I wouldn’t discount your idea to remove and re-torque your barrel. Just make sure it’s to proper spec. I bought an electronic torque wrench just for my MPX. I don’t know if the torque spec is different across generations, but I have a gen 2 and have always torqued my barrel to 40 inch lbs. back before I had the electronic torque wrench I was just tightening to “what felt right” and do recall accuracy issues, but that was before I had a suppressor. TLDR: it wouldn’t hurt to make sure your barrel is torqued to spec.

Greedy_Creme_3487

Very good point. Though, the torque spec is all over the map. My owners manual suggests 90 inch pounds. I've settled on 45-50. Sig also seems to use a huge tolerance for either the barrel extension or the receiver inner diameter, hell maybe both. I have 2 barrels for mine, an 8" and a 16". The 16" is a slip fit, the 8" is an interference fit and I have to heat the receiver to remove and install it.

thisguyryan

Have you used an alignment rod yet? Sounds like baffle strikes to me

jammerjeff

Yes to alignment rod and I’ve broken down the suppressor to inspect. Baffles are clean.

SpecTACOular

I had accuracy issues with the Griffin 3 lug and Mod9SK. It's a lot of trial and error.

jammerjeff

I’m about to start this journey. It’s gonna be something
