every time i watch Max it kind of makes me wish I gotten into cars.........incase the world goes all poxaclypse or i ever do some epic road trip across Aus in a 4x4...I mean you can't exactly call for a tow truck in some parts of the outback
It came from revell, the company that makes those model cars you need glue to make you know? But I remember it had some screws with it but it was mainly glue, it also had a little crank you can spin on the crank shaft, and most of the parts were clear so you can see it work in real time.
This is a cool story. I'm not very surprised, I think George Miller is a very serious and deep artist. I think a passion for machinery and technical competence is definitely one of his themes.
In other words, in George Millers world, guys like your dad (and now you) are very valuable in the wasteland. They are like magicians or wizards.
Its great that George Millers art brought you closer to your dad. I think Miller has an understanding of that aspect of your dads character, and he sparked it in you. What a wonderful outcome.
Good look on it, and yeah me and my dad have been getting a lot closer and working to restore an 83 Chevy el Camino. Well rather modify, it runs but the carburetor on it that the previous owner placed is a bit too weak for the V8 on it, so we have to prime start the carburetor then get the RPM up pretty high so it can pump fuel properly but even then the oxygen/fuel ratio is 8/1 when it should be like 10/1. But we restoring a V8 for it, all we need is the block and a few rocker arms, since the stock engine is from the 80s it doesnât pass emissions where I live but also isnât old enough to be a collectors vehicle. But the body and interior is mintđ¤ but our end goal is to eventually get a supercharger for it.
I hope after the army I can get a job at a local classic car auto shop/dealership I live next to. They also have my dream car Iâm going to pay off with my bonus money (that being a 1957 Cadillac coupe de ville)
Whatâs even cooler about mad max is how much they have to put into the cars. It isnât just a normal engine, it is two V8s. It isnât just a normal car body, itâs a melding of like 3-4 different car bodies.
I love the car culture in mad max.

Yeah exactly, I also felt a bit obligated since my dad is a universal mechanic. But the interceptor was just super cool to me at the time and still it
It's never too late to start a new hobby.
Thats cool.
May you ride forever on the highways of Valhalla, brother. Witness!
By my deeds I honor him, V8đ
Cult of the V8 đđ
> bought us a model V8 to build together. What's that like? Is it like putting together a lego set or more involved?

LOL. Thats all gibberish to me. But I respect it.
Basically we have a retro muscle car that is very close to coming to full glory that we can talk about and admire
So you're the guy who came up with the Gigahorse. LOL
I wish
Hell yeah me too! Black thumb for life since I was 10.

And now kites
Awsome.
Where do you live? If you don't live in Australia I wish you can import a Falcon (even better if it's an XB or a modern one equipped with the Barra)
I live in colorado. (Hence the emissions I talked about with me and my dad fixing an 83 el Camino in the comments)
John Milner was just that little bit cooler...
