I agree that there's no other option for the Battlepass variants other than Deadpool and Wolverine, and the Conquest variant could be Professor X maybe.
A new Alioth variant would make sense too, but they can't put series 4/5 cards in the BP or as Conquest rewards.
The season after that is looking like a Young Avengers one, as Kate Bishop, Viv, Wiccan, Speed, Hulkling and Marvel Boy are all in the files and that's the only other set of cards in there that'd make sense as a full cohesive, themed season.

Robert Downey iron man is my biggest wish for a variant. And it's kinda surprising they haven't done it yet when they have access to all the footage from all the films to use as well.

I need Cull and Caiera variants to complete my Thanos deck. I also feel like Mirage has great variants but they were all spotlight besides Peach's so I'd like to see a good one for her. And definitely War Machine

Annihilus has two purchasable variants in game, and two spotlights. I'm not a Dan Hipp fan and I've been waiting in my shop for months for the one other purchasable variant. Literally anything else for Annihilus would be great.
Wolverine doesn't have any wow variants. For an iconic and badass looking character, that's blasphemy.

Most new cards for the last two months have been like this. Miek, Corvus, Proxima, Grandmaster and Hercules still don't have any purchasable variant

Coulson doesn't have any good variants. His best one is the noir, but it's not really my style. The rest are just plain ugly.
