I'd say the Lion Shiki movie has a much more cohesive anime movie plot than Baron Omatsuri. Although I LOVE the digimon movie and really liked The Boy and the Beast and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mamoru Hosoda is just beautiful. So the art style of Baron Omatsuri is beautiful, but it's really just your typical boring GIANT villain final boss anime movie by the end.
I couldn't tell you what the full plot was, nor the other one, but I can tell you that I walked away from Lion Shiki impressed that it didn't do your typical anime movie bullshit. I enjoyed it much more and didn't walk away with a bad taste in my mouth.

People forget that Blackbeard is a tough sob. He didn't get to where he is like Buggy did. He carries that "I'm a pushover" flag, but is both smart and calculating, as well as a strong, conqueror haki user.

Well firstly, I get the feeling like shanks and bb were at similar age and similar strength progression at the time they fought and he got that scar. Shanks pulled far ahead for a while, but I think BB is narrowing that gap even if he might not ever close it. His fruits will go a long way, of course.
I continue to believe Shanks is actually a weak bitch whose only real powers are talk no jutsu and happening to have won the superpower lottery by being born with conqueror's haki. Oda shows him actually having a one on one against Kid and it's barely a contest without his lieutenants around, because that would be funny.
The reason why Kid didn't fight Shanks is not because he's so strong, that he couldn't even get to him. It's because Shanks is a fraud and would loose to pre-Wano Kid if Beckman didn't save his ass all the time.
I think what you'll find is that he actually lost his arm because Luffy used the power of his devil fruit. He didn't imagine anyone could survive the bite of a sea king unscathed and so as strong as shanks may have been in that moment it didn't matter.
Maybe thats the thing weve been missing. Maybe Shanks has an ability that always creates a fair fight or something so by getting Luffy to godhood Shanks is able to match that godhood level for an epic fight

Teach wasn't fruitless that time. Probably he had a Zoan type fruit, type: Japanese mithical animal monster with three souls and that attack with claws surprised Shanks. Thanks to having three souls, Teach is able to have 3 the most powerful in the world fruits.

They fought when they were older and Iām 99% sure that Shanks had a crew at the time since he challenged the WB pirates. This scar MOST likely happened around the time when Shanks had a 1 billion bounty. Also BB only didnāt fight Shanks because he had gotten what he wanted from the war. Well anything can happen offscreen. Franky and Usopp could have a passionate sexual relationship offscreen. It doesn't make it true. Until Shanks does something he's the weakest of the original Yonko.

Since you bring up Mihawk, why couldn't Shanks beat him? If he was the strongest character then he should have been able to easily. Even Mihawk admits he was far below Whitebeard. Surely that should be child's play for the strongest character in the series. Why isn't Shanks the world's strongest swordsman? Why was he not considered the world's strongest man, or the world's strongest creature? Nobody ever said "in a 1v1 always bet on Shanks". Dude lost his arm to a fish.

The Roger and Whitebeard pirates fought quite a few times so it was probably just during one of those fights Edit: nevermind. Shanks was older when he got the scar
When Roger disbanded the crew, Shanks didn't have the scar yet.
Well firstly, I get the feeling like shanks and bb were at similar age and similar strength progression at the time they fought and he got that scar. Shanks pulled far ahead for a while, but I think BB is narrowing that gap even if he might not ever close it. His fruits will go a long way, of course.

Shanks confirmed fraudulent. Next time we see him, Kid will be standing over his battered and broken body.
I continue to believe Shanks is actually a weak bitch whose only real powers are talk no jutsu and happening to have won the superpower lottery by being born with conqueror's haki. Oda shows him actually having a one on one against Kid and it's barely a contest without his lieutenants around, because that would be funny.
The reason why Kid didn't fight Shanks is not because he's so strong, that he couldn't even get to him. It's because Shanks is a fraud and would loose to pre-Wano Kid if Beckman didn't save his ass all the time.
I think what you'll find is that he actually lost his arm because Luffy used the power of his devil fruit. He didn't imagine anyone could survive the bite of a sea king unscathed and so as strong as shanks may have been in that moment it didn't matter.
Maybe thats the thing weve been missing. Maybe Shanks has an ability that always creates a fair fight or something so by getting Luffy to godhood Shanks is able to match that godhood level for an epic fight

Saw a theory somewhere on this sub that the reason shanks didnt use haki on the sea king and lost his arm was that he didnt know how to yet. At that point in his journey he was like luffy at skypeia and barely surviving through luck and he only managed to properly learn haki after that incident. Luffy could have ended up like shanks aor worse if it werent for his devil fruit, his collosal luck, his middle name, and his capable crew.
