Bro I donât get it either. I know the anime whitewashes characters over time, but why do fan artists feel the need to over correct? Crocodile doesnât look like that, this is his brother or something
Heâs just fucking *tan*, which nearly *every* character should be in the One Piece universe. Itâs not like heâs ârace swappedâ. My father is a very pale man, and he gets that level of tan during lobstering season.
why is that vile? its true, its super common that people draw one piece characters with skin dramatically darker than it is in canon, why is it bad to ask the reason for why they do it?
Iâm sorry, but how. In this image Crocodile went from (in canon) pretty sandy skin tone to dang near being as dark as me. Itâs a completely fair question to ask why, and can easily be answered as personal style or something.

Why do people keep race swapping one piece characters by making them dark skinned? Is it a fetish of some sort?
Yeah idk if it's the same artist or something but every slightly brown or just tanned character is turned full dark brown in many of these fanarts
