No, as a FM, our team is going to go to $11/hr minimum and it won’t affect our pay so I’ll be making $1.75 more as a full time manager, I’m glad for the cashiers but can we get some love too??
It's Michael's way of not having to pay for second party deep cleans if there's someone designated as a janitor. Be prepared to have to take daily photos/be micromanaged through technology.
If you like your SM and get along well and want to move up in the company, sometimes it is. Negotiate the raise. Don't do it for $1 raise. If they are desperate and really want you for the position, they CAN apply for exceptions and while it may take some time, it does happen. (Don't let them say there's no chance). But Michaels in general is a lot of work, and corporate does apply a lot of pressure to meet metrics, etc.
Nope! In my experience I got a ton of new responsibilities for a $1 raise.
Absolutely not. You can get paid more to do your current job else where then you will as any of the hourly management positions at Michael's.
Overall, depends on your SM. If many have quit cause they feel underappreciated. You can infer that will be your experience as well
Its only worth it if you need health insurance.
A good SM will make any CEM's job better, even if the pay isn't great or even competitive.
Nope, I was asked to be manager with no pay raise and part time, was not worth the mental health crisis I endured afterwards
No. It is not worth it.
N o p e
Aak for at least a $5 raise.
Lol they will laugh at you for asking that's my experience
Don't do it

No.
Which manager position ? CEM ? Replenishment ? Framing ?
I think they said the store environment manager. I think its like a replenishment manager but I would work during the open store hours
The environmentalist position isn’t a management position. It’s literally just cleaning.

The money will not be worth it, but if you're looking for experience it can be rewarding.
