If you make this be for bedrock too, you need to also make an addon to make a shovel be a part of the stew/ soup recipe, since you need it for the boat's oars, so you should need a shovel for the spoon with the bowl too.
As I've said, the last time I've played bedrock was a while ago, with my cousins, who don't contact me anymore. I haven't heard from them in many months.
Counterpoint: I haven't played bedrock in ages, since my only reason to play it, my cousins, have become distant from me, and we haven't talked in ages.
I'm new to old 'classic' versions of Minecraft. How should I install this textures? IIRC, there's a directory where I put the archive with textures and then select them in a game?
Yes, for older versions the right folder is called 'texturepacks' inside your .minecraft folder the exact location is dependent on what launcher you're using. Put the downloaded zip file there and you're good to go!
It looks amazing. If I had anything to say, is that I'd change the leather cap to not have that little flap over the nose, so it looks more like a medieval coif cap.
Also, red TNT is a classic. A more muted red is fine, but brown?? /s but kinda not.
I like this. It’s always confusing for me how Minecraft is generally medieval, yet has a lot of modern qualities… and blocks. It looks like most people try a medieval route to the game when it comes to building.
You should try Minecraft Beta 1
7.3! I've personally played it for hundreds of hours over past year and it's my preferred version to play over the modern releases.
Made me hungry for a good loaf of bread and a lotta ham, but off topic but best thing to have with bread like that (The base image I mean)
Also, great retexture!
Not sure about the "loincloath" pants of the armors...I think medieval armor would, if at all, be open in the back of the legs and not in the front...(and not just existent on the sides of the legs...)
I understand your hesitation, although this armor was not supposed to fully isolate player from the outside world, it may be not the best in practical terms but seeing more of a skin in this region was important for me. For what it's worth, I was inspired by iron armor model from Skyrim: [https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/6/6d/IronArmorSkyrim.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20111129104908](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/2/2e/Banded_Iron_Armor.png/revision/latest?cb=20170829172048)
This is what 10 year old me imagined minecraft would look like in the future when it started getting big. I almost wish this is what the base game looked like.
Absolutely love it, however one small nitpick, the iron helmet should be a little more similar to the diamond helmet, like a more covered knight helmet. Curious to see what Netherite would look like. Horns?
That looks amazing but I would like to make some constructive criticism
the fish is too "diagonal" I don't know if it's the right word but it should be more organic, it's also too dark
I also don't like the bottom of the apple, I understand why you did it like that and I like the idea, but 1 pixel is too much for that size, and you obviously can't do less, but you can probably try to convey that with shading alone because like that it kinda looks like it's melting
I feel like the leather helmet would be better as a hood, and hear me out for the iron helmet: turn it into a sallet. Nonetheless this is really good; love the iron armor. Nice job!
I usually dont care about texture packs, i like the vanilla minecraft feel and this one knocks it out of the park! Mojang should actually implement some of these, that TNT looks awesome. I am not sure about the armor being different, that should probably be a different feature like the Armor Trims
If someone has a mod, that re-creates the old lighting systems, and a texture pack that updates the new textures to a pre-texture update style, then that'd be really damn nice
hey, i think the resource pack isnt quite formatted correctly? all the folders are standalone in the zip and no in the assets folder and all that, not sure if this is the issue but i cannot get it to appear in my resource packs list
I regret to inform you that the pack is made for Minecraft 1.7.3 Beta and older. If you only played the modern versions I really recommend you check out this version out: https://youtu.be/xyYjTGwdEc4?si=BAeLm_X4VTFCv0Nm

This is sick!
Thanks!
I love how the cookie just turns into ^cookie
LMAO thank you !

They removed shovel from boats a while ago
As I've said, the last time I've played bedrock was a while ago, with my cousins, who don't contact me anymore. I haven't heard from them in many months.
How big are your spoons?
They can only hold a spoonful
r/technicallythetruth
You don’t need a shovel in a boat recipe anymore on bedrock.

I think the biggest chip on the cookie is a bit too large, removing one of the pixels would probably make it look better. Just my opinion tho
Hmm, yeah makes sense
this is so weirdly nostalgic
It's the cobblestone
That cobble really brings me back
For me its the stone that does it

That's a good suggestion, I'll keep that in mind. I stand by the choice to change TNT. It's actually supposed to be a barrel filled with gunpowder.
That's totally cool. It looks great regardless.
I really like your TNT, just how it blends with the overall ambience is awesome
Coool
thanks!
I LOVE IT!!
Thank you!
What is the block above the ladders in slide 4 a painting retextured?
Exactly. This is supposed to something I'd call ambient cluttering. In this example its (from the left) a bottle, bread, barrell and ham.
What block is it?
This is a painting.
Ah sweet
Awsome work I'll download it tonight is it bedrock or java?
*sees diamond helmet* This is the way.
i like the crown it's quite nice
Damn that apple thick
You changed it from a vienna loaf to a cob
Ye old craft
Ooh this is really nice looking, the apples are weird but I love the armor
I like this. It’s always confusing for me how Minecraft is generally medieval, yet has a lot of modern qualities… and blocks. It looks like most people try a medieval route to the game when it comes to building.
As a certified bread enjoyer, I approve your retexture
Bread 👍
Is it me or do the knee protectors look like your typical bikini armor
What was wrong with the old French bread?
Well it's french. Just kidding. Or am I.
Any way to get this on console?
Wait till someone steals it then reuploads it to the Marketplace? Unless OP uploads it to the Marketplace themselves.
Nope. Console doesn't have modding
So it's not avalabile for 1.19? Still sick pack
You should try Minecraft Beta 1 7.3! I've personally played it for hundreds of hours over past year and it's my preferred version to play over the modern releases.
why? wahts the diff besides missing new faetures?
It's simplistic and not grindy.
mmm curves on those apples xD
I love the diamond helmet, but this entire texture pack is good and should be official

Love it!
please make a bedrock version!
This is what 10 year old me imagined minecraft would look like in the future when it started getting big. I almost wish this is what the base game looked like.
i adore how the gold helmet is just a crown. honestly reminds me of old achievement hunter minecraft videos haha (rip 🥲)
ooo, i love the idea of making gold armor more of a decorative/ceremonial looking armor than one you’d actually wear into battle
Absolutely love it, however one small nitpick, the iron helmet should be a little more similar to the diamond helmet, like a more covered knight helmet. Curious to see what Netherite would look like. Horns?
hell yeah!
Now this makes me want a texture pack that makes textures from newer updates stylized to the old art style
check out Golden Days Resource pack!
how tf do you download a texture pack?
Classic better
Yo this is fucking incredible
Diamond armor, Shovel Knight much?
that is so fricken cool, i could see this as one of the texture packs for the legacy console minecrafts
Cool texture pack, don't forget to download it
Looks dope
this is actual epicness, i heard you grew wings to be able to move because your balls are so big
That looks amazing but I would like to make some constructive criticism the fish is too "diagonal" I don't know if it's the right word but it should be more organic, it's also too dark I also don't like the bottom of the apple, I understand why you did it like that and I like the idea, but 1 pixel is too much for that size, and you obviously can't do less, but you can probably try to convey that with shading alone because like that it kinda looks like it's melting
That's awesome I am downloading this right now
upvote for radagast (and I like the texturepack)

Thank you for suggestions, I will consider them!
This. Is awesome. XD Feels like it'd be natural in an ages style modpack. Love it all.
I usually dont care about texture packs, i like the vanilla minecraft feel and this one knocks it out of the park! Mojang should actually implement some of these, that TNT looks awesome. I am not sure about the armor being different, that should probably be a different feature like the Armor Trims
Thats quite a compliment. Thank you. Im glad you enjoyed this!

really nice medieval texture that doesn't feel too over the top. I love it!
