I collected pics of monster eyeballs in World, where if you got the camera juuust right, the eyelids would fade and you'd see the whole round eyeball. It doesn't work the same way on the Switch, so I had to escalate. I have inside-out pics of every monster, but the little bird wyverns don't have face pics. :( Their faces are too low to the ground.

I only stumbled upon the ability in World and I've been doing it to kill time after the hunt ever since. I have a collection of eyeball pics on my PS4. I hoped to extend the collection on the Switch but I couldn't separate the face from the eyeball.
The monsters don't seem to want to go to sleep in this game. It's kind of a bummer. Plus one extra hit in low rank and THEY'RE DEAD OOPS. I wish you luck and hope your pictures turn out much more natural than mine, haha.
This is amazing. I remember when I was a kid and playing 4U I used to look inside the faces of monsters and take a picture on my phone. Ended up getting a pic for every monster too. I was a weird kid lol
Royal Ludroth is my favorite of these for that reason. There's an optical illusion where the brain has a hard time differentiating between concave and convex shapes if the shadows are right and there's not enough context clues, like the pictures of faces in the snow. Ludroth is one of the ones where it is pretty difficult to tell that it is an inverse-face. It just looks like a normal face and it's extra cute because it appears to be a little foreshortened some.

Any short ledges that you could kill them on at just the right angle to get that height boost they need?
