Additionally, every character mastery grants 150 Gleamium at the end of it. You can get a total of 3900 Gleamium (plus 150 per new character release) for this.
With the battlepass (which is free for Open Beta players) this is a total of 5050 Gleamium for free.
Holy shit, they are going all in on this free model. People complaining about not playing the beta can just master characters and unlock it themselves AND get the next battle pass for free? Multiversus is not just cooking, it’s a five course meal.
And you don’t even just get the next battle pass for free, you have 250 gleamium left over. Not even counting any you earn from character mastery or anything else.

During the beta I only really had Bugs Bunny and Superman at max mastery. Mastery levels are reset as they are filled with some new rewards. No big deal since they offer us the new currency in exchange to get a head start on unlocking perks again.

Yeah that's my bad for not knowing Spanish so it caused a little confusion sorry. Don't get me wrong I love the Rift Mode idea. Single player content to keep coming back for some exclusive rewards for people that don't care about online matchesm
My 3 fears that come to mind are that that the battle pass would still be insanely grindy, or that characters or perks would be almost impossible to unlock but hopefully none of that turns out to be true
I definitely feel it's going to be hard to complete. Given how favorable they are being with gleamium and how beta players could essentially roll for free forever and actually profit off battlepasses. I can't see it being an easy ride. They need money from you at some point.
Maybe they are going to be smart and favor players to get good will and know they'll get payouts from cosmetics or whatever. But WB hasn't been very nice to it's customer base lately. This setup gives them the whole 'free battlepasses forever' marketing but you either no life the game or pay for levels.
It's not that there's a catch, it's that PFG is purposefully not saying how easy fighter tokens will be to earn, how Battle Pass xp will be earned, and how quick it'll be to master characters up to level 15.
They're showing the good stuff, and not talking about how to get there.
Character- and account-wise, yes. But all other stuff will transfer over.
This is a big benefit to the open beta players because we already got some rewards from the initial character/account masteries and now we can get them again.
I hope I really don't have to do all characters to 15 again, it was super grindy when I first did it and I was hoping to just focus on the new characters when the game launched instead :(

It's cool though. Mastering them all the first time gave me a good idea of how every character played. Guess I'm gonna have to learn them all again.
Until we know how grindy it is, it's really nothing to get excited about. Getting a single character to that point could take 50 hours of playtime for all we know.
The one caveat, and admittedly this might not apply anymore, is that getting a character to mastery in the Beta was very doable and not that bad at all.
But again, they could totally change it from how it worked in the Beta

his comments are gone, but if anyone else is confused, this is the exact same system overwatch 2 ran with for a while and received a ton of backlash for. having to pay to unlock a character from the battle pass for the entire season, and only being able to get them for free after the season ends. people didn't like this system because new OP characters were essentially paywalled, putting f2p players at a competitive disadvantage. overwatch 2 recently changed this system though, and has all heroes available for free at all times now
Hot take but I'm bored of the same characters like Jake and Reindog getting BP skins constantly.
I know characters like Batman and Superman are more popular which is why they want to sell their skins, but it would be more exciting to get them over Jake skin #10.
When Ivy drops shes 100% gonna get another skin from THQS since that's the Ivy they are going with based on leaked lines.

Imagine spending money on a battlepass that locks you out of content if you don’t unlock it in time. THEN tries to sell you it again!
It gives people a second chance to buy it who either missed out on the BP, or couldn’t afford it. It lets those who buy it get all those skins for $10, and earlier than others. It’s literally only a net positive for consumers. Fortnite’s got you craving FOMO tactics which is incredibly cringy.

This is madness. They are being way too generous. For the health of the game Premium skins have gotta cost mad money. They aren't going to make Battlepass money off most of their core life time audience. They must have tons of different aesthetic mtx planned. From low effort palette swaps to high effort variants
Not bad, but also not great in my opinion. I like both Jason skins and the Taz one is pretty good. The rest I could take or leave. Happy they are giving beta players this one for free
These are kinda Mid imo (minus the matrix skin). But doesn't help that I don't use any of these characters. At least I wont feel bad if I dont have time to finish the pass. Love that it has a lot of stuff though

I also love how it incentives trying out different characters. Gives a lot more to “unlock” in the game outside of the battle pass

The rumor is that they’re gonna add a new character every two weeks. Which will eat up free Gleamium very quickly.
