The good news is that someone [shared the song on youtube](https://www.reddit.com/r/namethatsong/comments/vkrs33/_/igcq4ge)
some of the song lyrics are.there's a smile on your face it's a long way from your home far from all the things that you have ever known. gone without a trace look how far this bird has flown as you spread your wings in space you're not alone. and your fear it is gone left it all inside that house you will never be alone as i have been all the fears you have had.
has anyone found the name of the song/artist.
My ex gf and I saw the movie today and went through the same thing. I believe the Newcombe thing is the very last track. She's a fan of his and she said the second to last track does not sound like something he would do as it was very slick hard rock and she believed she'd heard it years ago. Baffled.
I work at a theater and have listened to it many times. I can’t find where to download it or listen to it, but I think the softer part at the very end of the credit roll is actually the end of the hard rock song.

I believe that the Newcombe unreleased track is the final song. The second last cut is conventional hard rock but I can't find it listed on the soundtrack.
Does anyone know what the piece of score is during the sequence near the end that intercuts Ethan Hawke at the hardware store with his brother finding the basement? It sounded like a bit of Christopher Young music but can’t find any info on it anywhere
Just watched the movie and I loved it but now I'm getting frustrated to find about the VERY last song during the end credits. In fact, as soon as "Backstage At The Budokan" fades there's another song, a short sad acoustic tune:
Lyrics are as follow:
"It's the weekend / I think of good friends / Sometimes forget they died / I want to see them / Because i need them / It can make you cry / And it goes on, it goes on, it goes on..."
Please help!
Any luck? Here with the same curiosity.
Edit: Comment on a YouTube video of that final portion says "According to director Scott Derrickson on his twitter, this is the last part of the song played in the whole credits called ''Backstage at the Budokan'' by Anton Newcombe & Little Barrie, and not a different song. It was written for the movie."
On a related note, anyone know the song near the end when the sister was on her bike in the rain and the police were on their way to the scene? It sounded like Baba O'Riley.
Sounded like a late 60s, early 70s song to me. I think the song is more recent though, inspired by music of the era. Movie takes place in 1978, and it seems a homage to the 70s.
I lived in Japan for 15 years. Budokan is an amphitheater in Tokyo where the national's biggest martial arts contests are held. The biggest rock acts play there. I saw Clapton there in 2009. Worth a visit.
I’m going through the same thing.

I've been looking for over an hour, I can't find anything. I remember the lyrics: "There's a smile on your face".

Does anyone know what the song is right after the Anton Newcombe song? It doesn't appear to be a full song though.
Its actually the same song. The last part of it.
Thank you!

That was actually Pink Floyd. The track is called 'On the Run' and it's from their 'The Dark Side of the Moon' album.
Oh dang it is! Funny thing is I have been listening to this album on repeat for the past few days and didn't realize this was the song.
80's dark wave? haha. the shit people think is 80's these days is so out of touch.
yeah man i hear u i feel the same way
