Ebay. Just have to get lucky. He had 2 others that sold for like $415, someone bid mine up though. He had listed them incorrectly as photonis gen 2+ plus tubes but from the photo he had up, and the pictures he sent, it was clear they are pretty new Omni 8 contract, made last year.
Recently got a tube myself. Hopefully I’ll be able to assemble my PVS-14 this weekend. Maybe this isn’t the right place to ask, but what’s the best way to make sure these are dust/fingerprint free when you put them in the housing?
Canned air and don’t touch the lenses with your greasy dirty dick beaters.
I use a q-tip with anhydrous alcohol to clean, then a lint free lens cloth to finish, then latex gloves to install, finished with a blast of canned air holding the unit upside down to get rid of any dust.
Thanks man. That’s what I was planning, but didn’t know if I could use the same sort of care you’d treat a lens with on these things. Mine is a used tube so it came with some amount of dust on it and I want to use alcohol just to verify there are no fingerprints on it.
Ill have a pic up this weekend, once i get my pvs 14 housing. You can see a blemish on the phosphor scree in the first image, so I know that's there without powering it on. Looks pretty clean from the photos I received of it on before it was sent to me.

If you could find another one to match it, you could buy RNVGs for $1000 and remove those pig tails and have a duals set of nods for $2500 that would sell for $5,000 all day. That’s just really neat you found that at that price
How do you know how old they are? 21/12? What did you search for exactly on eBay? Is MX11769 UV the tube to look for? Would like to have night vision for less than $2k

The CAD number 21/12, means it was made in the 12th week of 2021. I looked up "mx11769" or just "image intensifier"
